Has anyone ever heard of the British Airways London Eye? What is it and what do you do there?

Most likely they are talking about the London Eye, it's the Large Ferris Wheel type attraction in London.

The London Eye is a HUGE ferris wheel type ride that was put there during the Millenium. The "cars" are actually glass enclosed rooms that fit probably 15 people. You can walk around or sit and the entire, slow "ride" takes about 30 minutes. The views are beautiful and it's minimal cost. We actually saw a party with appetizers and drinks going on in the car next to us. We were told there are many proposals made on this, too!

The London Eye is a slow ferris wheel ride. The views are great on a clear day. Make sure you have a map along so you know what your looking at from up there!!

The London Eye sounds like a great ride. Can anyone recommend a London Dog Friendly Hotel? I am sure there are several out of all of the Hotels London has to offer.

I've been to London twice and both times took a ride on the London Eye. It's one of those great big slow moving ferris wheels where you get lovely views of the city and have plenty of time to take pictures. You can get tickets and arrange transportation at most London Hotels.

British Airways London Eye is called that since British Airways bought and built the eye. The best time to go is right before sunset so that you can get all the pictures of sunset and the city at night. You can go online and buy tickets, which i highly recommend, saving you the time of waiting in line or you can purchase your tickets on sight for a later date and time. If you wait in line it will take several hours but you have to plan ahead if you buy tickets online as well. It is well worth the money spent and a fantastic photo op. I am also afraid of heights and had no trouble with the movement at all.
