My Wife and her friends would like us to go to Costa Rica in July 09! Is this a good time to go? We live in colorado and figure if it gets in the 100's here in July and August it might be worse there! Any sugestions?

I live near San Jose in Costa Rica's Central Valley. You'll probably have daytime temps in the mid 70s in July in the Valley. The Pacific coast will be a few degrees warmer, typically in the low to mid-80s. The main tourist season here is December-May so you'll have lots of beaches almost to yourself--and off-season bargains to boot.

I've been to CR 3 times...once in November, March & July. By far the best time was November because it was before the crowds came! Everything was cheaper and you can get better bargains and cheaper places to stay. Weather is good too! July was EXTREMELY hot & humid. I wouldn't recommend going in July. March wasn't too bad although it was dry so flora wasn't the greatest.

Hello,
Costa Rica is beautiful and I've been there before. I visited Puerto Rico last year and stayed at the following vacation rental:

It was a beautiful vacation!

I would recommend visiting Costa Rica in November as well. The weather will be too humid in July.
