yes im wondering about costa rica,i have read things on websites about the country, but i have family that is thinking about moving there to live.they have met people online that lives there and they say its nice.my family lives in the us,and im thinking of them moving to another country where they have never been could be risky.can someone tell me how costa rica is?
Costa Rica is a very safe country. Outside of the capital city, San Jose, crime is much lower than in the USA. Petty theft is the only crime you hear much about. If you avoid the heavy tourist areas (like Jaco Beach, Puerto Limon, Tamarindo, and Quepos)you shouldnt have any problems at all. Costa Rican people (Ticos) are friendly, funny and gentle.
I have been living on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica for two years and I just love it! I agree that the highly developed areas are where the most crime occurs. Check out my web site and you can read all about why I love Costa Rica. http://www.travelexperiencecostarica.com
