Travel Channel

My husband and I along with our three kids, lived at Ft. Greely, Ak back in 1985-'88.
The last year we were there, and getting ready to move down to the lower forty-eight. The temp drop out it was -80 below it might of been colder, sorry I can't remember.
We didn't run our truck for fear of the fan belt shattering. My husband walked to work and home again in the evening. His place of work was only a few blocks away, but I still worried about him making it to work. I had him call me when he reached his place of work. I also had him call me when he was heading home in the evening. He dressed for the weather of course military men a tough!
Living in Alaska was great , and we'd go back there again in a heart beat!
Our son is in Fairbanks,AK. He is stationed there.
