The beaches in Boracay Island, Aklan Philippines is one of the most beautiful in the world. I've been to many beaches all over, and this should be in the top 10 of World's Best Beach. It has a stretch of beautiful white sands and crystal clear turquoise-bluish waters. It's not commercialized as Cancun is and prices are still very inexpensive.
Even a major credit card company has this beach as the background for one of their cards.

What about Australia's Whitehaven beach in the Whitsunday's? I think it was Lonley Planet that rated it the most beautiful beach in the world. Just type in the name on a search engine and you'll see how stunning it is. Another great beach, Wineglass bay in Tasmania Australia.

how can the Travel Channel miss Boracay? It's powdery white sands which is cool even at high noon, beautiful corals, sea water, though salty is not sticky... accommodations are varied from the plush to the mediocre... wonderful spas, a very very vibrant nightlife...a row of gourmet restaurants and coffee shops...and even a shopping mall. If you haven't been there, then you haven't really been anywhere , really.
