I am amazed not to see more on the subject. I have been running with the bulls in Spain for the past 15 years or so, and there is no comparison to any other adrenaline rush!

And I'm not talking about San Fermin in Pamplona, where I run, we call that holiday for the sissy's. I'll explain.

In the community of Valencia, where most bulls are bred for, they do it a little different. But basically, they attach two balls of fire on the horns of the bull, and let it run loose in a four block area of a small town that has been barricaded, for about two hours. Can you imagine? All the homes and businesses that face the street, have bars on the doors just big enough to let a human slip through, but not the bull. All cars have been removed from the streets. You just run down the streets with this thousand pound bull with horns on fire chasing you. If he can't get you with his horns, he'll try and burn you. Lots of fun, I have been caught three times in my years of running, and since I have survived, I can say it has been fun.

These events are free, you just need to know when and where to be in Spain, usually in the summer time, and just about in any pueblo in the Valencian community. You won't find them advertised anywhere, for obvious reasons, but once in Spain, you can find them in the towns holiday notes.

Personally, I think the best time is around the third week of August, you can do the Tomato Wars in Bunyol in the morning, and run with the bulls in the evening. The perfect adventurous day!

Hey Guys!

I would be willing to organize a trip to Spain this August to "Fight" in the Tomato Wars and "Run" with the Bulls. Not to mention do a lot of other related partying!

Cost would be around $2000 to $2500 per person, including, Air Fare, Hotel and a rented vehicle. You pay for your own food and your share of gas, maybe around $40 per day total. Trip would be for around 7 to 10 days, depending on what the public wants. And towards the end of August.

In order to justify the trip, there has to be a minimum of 10 people, and increments of 10 due to the van that would rented.

Any players?

Here is a little song related to the festivities of Pamplona.

Uno de Enero dos de Febrero tres de Marzo cuatro de Abril, Cinco de Mayo seis de Junio siete de Julio San Fermin!

That is the song sung during the Running of the Bulls. The seventh of July being the first day of San Fermin. Bunch of sissy's!
