Travel Channel

This hotel is a block or so up from Jackson Sq. and a block or so down from Bourbon St. A great location, close to everything but far enough from the worst of the raucous noise. They have a beautiful courtyard surrounded by several buildings housing their various rooms. Be careful when you book a room as some of them have no windows - if it's important to you (and it is to my daughter) make sure of what you're booking. Other than that, this place is great. I've stayed there several times and it's my first choice to book whenever I go to N'Awlins.

I have been staying at the Marriott Residence Inn in Metaitie. It is about 10 minutes from the French Quarter. Parking is free, outdoor pool, rooms with kitchette, outdoor grill. A good place to stay, if you don't have to be downtown. For the mot part the staff are very friendly.
