Hey from Finland!
We just saw the episode about archimedes mirror myth on it. Adam Savages mirror was great, but, I checked out more about it, and there it was.
I didnt find a web link to that video which I saw from tape, but there was this happening discribed below.

"However, in
1973 AD the Greek scientist Ioannis Sakas organised sixty soldiers, holding
large mirrors, to aim reflected light at a boat 50 metres away, and set the
boat afire within three minutes"

and they really did manage to burn the ship..
