Hello, My husband, my adult daughter and myself will be traveling to Paris in May. Can anyone recommend a hotel or an apartment close to the main attractions such as Champs d'Elysees or any safe areas? I am having trouble looking for a hotel that accomodates 3 adults. Rates somewhere between 170 to 200 Euros per night. Thank you
You might try Holiday Inn Garden Court -Paris Tour Eiffel. We stayed there in 2002 with our then 18 year old son. We had a triple room, and the price then was reasonable. The hotel is near the Eiffel Tower, and has a street market outside twice a week. Another possibility is renting an apartment. You might try this site: http://www.parispiedaterre.com Have fun!
There is a lovely hotel in a very safe area near the Eiffel Tower. I cant remember the exact name but if you good hotel near the Eiffel Tower you should be able to find it. I believe it was 120 Euros a night when I went Feb 2007. Im sure the rates are probably higher in May as it is the beginning of the busy season.
2 years ago my then 15 year old daughter and I stayed at the Hotel des Nations, on Rue Monge in the Latin Quarter. It was a lovely walk to the attractions (Notre Dame, Louvre, and Orsay) from here and neighborhood very safe. Hotel had english speaking staff, very helpful. This location also close to some fine restaurants in "le Mouf" Don't over look Cluny Museum also in the Latin Quarter
I would recommend The Best Western Neuvel Orleans. It does not have views of the Eiffel Tower, but is across the street from a metro station (Mouton-Devernet). It still is in the city center. It is the quiet Monparnasse area. I have stayed there several times over a four year time frame. The area is quite safe. The neighborhood is loaded with cafes, and nice shops. The Rooms are small ish but immaculate. Expedia is listing rooms for $148 a night.
