Alright... another week has come to an end! Thanks for all of your wonderful advice yet again and please keep it up. We are slowly getting better at finding time to fit more things in and will do even better in Amsterdam, so keep the ideas rolling please!
Goodbye Paris, hello Amsterdam! (I think I just over used the exclamation point key!)

I've worn the paint off my exclamation point key!! Not as much as the period though, because every time I use the period, I have to use it at least three times... I don't know why??? One period is just too final... In Spain did they have the upside down exclamation point and question mark on the keyboards of those internet cafes? I always wondered about that... It's funny to see those things that are so standard for us being so different in other countries. I just found out yesterday that in India they turn lights on by flicking the switch down instead of up! I couldn't cope! I drive on the left side of my car on the right side of the streets and I flick light switches up to turn them on! Don't they have push button light switches in Europe? i'm sorry, i should be giving you tips on places to go... instead I'm hung up on the keyboards and light switches of our foreign friends... I guess its obvious now which brother went to school for engineering and which didn't! p.s. can you take a picture of a foreign keyboard for me? i want to print it out and put it on my cube wall

Paris . . . Was just there on my Honeymoon as well as Venice... There are very Cheap hotels near the airport. Get a carte orange (I gather it is too late for that for you). The hotels near the Air POrt (B&B) are daily rated and very affordable about $20 a day from what i remember. You can then take the RER to the Center of Paris. When we were there there were a bunch of Free Film festivals in the Luxembourg Gardens and Near The Sorbonne. CHeck that out. Also there was a great student life where they were talking Politics (oh so french) in the Latin Quarter. Also good Cheap food Near the Columbia Sportswear store.
Good Luck!
(My must do Paris is the bateaux bus, Eat a crepe and drink a beer under the eiffel tower and at 10:10 ot so at night the Eiffel tower Twinkles you have to see that)

Paris, so much to do, so little time. Travel by Metro. Get lost in Pere-Lachaise and visit the tombs of Chopin, Oscar Wilde, Gertrude Stein, Modligliani, Jim Morrison and others. Buy artwork from an artist in Montmarte, Order a crepe from a streetside vendor. Shop for kitchen gadgets at E. Dehillerin. Visit Shakespeare & Co. bookstore. Buy some tasty treats from Le Notre. Climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Buy a bottle of wine, a baguette and some peppered chevre and head to Luxembourg Gardens for a picnic.

Go to the Monoprix Supermarket, get some wine (inexpensive and good), some cheese, olives, a baguette and Pate. If the Monoprix has a cafe they will uncork the bottle for you. Take the blanket you took off the Airplane and sit at one of the many beautiful gardens of paris or by the Seine, have a little picnic and people watch.

Hi Brad! I'm one of your bros in Tempe. I don't know if you all are done sightseeing in Paris, but I just wanted to write and see if you got this in time. I've been to Paris quite a bit and my advice: go and see the Eiffel Tower, and then walk up the Seine towards the Louvre museum. During the day, the Eiffel tower is just bustling with people and the view directly beneath it is spectacular! I would also recommend seeing the nightlife in the park nearby. I was there one night and after midnight, people come out and start dancing and just hang out! Great place to go and talk and meet people! And walking along the river at dawn is awesome... Hope you get this in time. God bless, Ryan K

If you are going to Paris, the best thing to do is walk, but not only along the main streets. Check out the Latin Quarter, where there are many fun and inexpensive places to see. Especially great is L'Ecluse, a fabulous wine bar found in many different arrondisements. Great wines, great food, and it won't break the bank. Stay away from anywhere that posts menus outside in English...strictly tourist! The most important thing...don't act like a tourist!

Paris is such a beautiful, classy, and enchanting city. If there are any fashion fans, you must visit the original Chanel on the rue Cambon. This is where the designer actually had her office and the street is just lovely. The Louvre cannot be missed. I would also check out the Musee d'Orsay, which is smaller and full of amazing works. It is housed in an old train station, which is pretty cool in itself. I think it goes without saying that you should experience the Eifel Tower and Notre Dame. However, I would suggest St.Chappelle, which is a smaller cathedral with beautiful glass windows. There was a super-long line last time and it was kind of pricey for as small as it was, but it's always cool to experience something a little off the beaten path. As far as accomodation, the Peace and Love Hostel is very friendly and in a great location (right across the street from a metro stop). My friends and I ended up going out with about ten students travelling from this hostel. It was a great time! Once again, have a lovely trip!

You MUST go to Versailles! It's just a short train ride away from Paris. I've been to Europe about a dozen times and I still rate my trip to Versailles as the greatest and smartest thing I've ever done. It is the nicest palace in Europe and is rich with history and culture. Take the train early, get a tour guide and take in the magnificence of the Sun King's palace. Then have a picnic in the equally spectacular gardens and head back to Paris with only a half day gone.

Paris... I think a must would be eating at the restaraunt on the Eiffel Tower-- great view! It would probably be even greater at night.
