I hope that Travel Channel and Sam would consider developing a Passport to Asia series in the near future.
I think there are so many wonderful countries/cultures that can be covered over a 12-13 episode series.
Sam could visit: Taiwan Thailand Japan Malaysia Singapore Indonesia Vietman Hong Kong Or you can even re-run some of the China episodes as part of this series as well. The list can go on and one...
I realize it takes time and money, but if Sam and her crew spends 2-3 months in Asia (maybe next summer), I'm sure you can come back with some great television.
I think this would be much more compelling than the Weekend series, which is only okay in my opinion.

With the exception of Japan, the weak American dollar still gets more for your money in Asia.
You can make alot of great and inexpensive episodes in Asia.

I agree. Although I am really enjoying the more domestic location in the new series I would love to see Samantha explore Asia. I loved the China episodes.
