What do you think of Sam's hairstyle? I would like to see it in a different style. Her original darker color would be great.
The short style is good but it should be cut with shorter bangs and top to match the shorter length. It's a little too tapered. She should have it cut in a style that's sort of the same length all over the head. Like what a Flowbee would do but with more style. I don't know what that's called. But it's the style now.
The mushroom cut is too early 90's.

As a gentleman of longstanding and an avid admirer of the fairer sex, I learned decades ago that the best comment one can make regarding a lady's tresses - but for her mother or hairdresser - is, "my dear, your hair looks lovely tonight. I do so enjoy what you've done with it." Anything less puts the speaker on the thinnest of ice separating him from incivility - if not open warfare.

That hasn't been my experience with females.
Personally, I've had people make constructive comments about my own hair, and I was very grateful as a result because I had never given it much consideration before their comments.

Sir, you aptly point out the difference in our experience as yours is with females and mine is with ladies. Doubtless those who critiqued your own coiffure were not total strangers offering unsolicited advice in passing. At least one might hope. And you, sir, are no lady.
However, it crosses my mind that if indeed you are grateful for styling suggestions from total strangers, then perhaps you might be the last to offer them. And you are a total stranger to SB, aren't you?
Ladies, what do you think?

I'm obviously not a "gentelman" by Intl's (or some people's) definition. That's okay. I don't find the terms "lady" or "gentleman" anywhere in the Holy scriptures, or anything even remotely resembling them.
Why? Because ladies and gentleman are often synonyms for "jerks." That's what I see when I look at ladies and gentlemen, many times. Whatever good qualities they have seem to be cancelled out by bad ones.
I like to treat all people with respect. Male or female. I wish more people would act with intellectual reasoning, and not be so irrational in the way they take offense, especially when the "offender" is merely trying to do something nice or helpful.
Intl, this message was not addressed to you. I just went off on a tangent to something you said. Sorry if I am not the gentleman you would prefer.

Ah, there, you see? Hopesong is a gentleman after all, offering his apology, albeit quite unnecessarily. The height of etiquette and propriety with a modest hint of self-deprecation, and I commend you, sir - well played indeed.
I wish you a warm and very Merry Christmas. "God rest ye merry, gentlemen!" And ladies too.

There was a funny Leave It To Beaver shown today. Beaver is in the hall with two of his classmates and they see these three girls. He makes a comment about her hair. The comment wasn't that bad (I forget what) but she gets really offended and calls him a "sheep dog" because of his hair and her friends laugh. She does the same thing the next day and Beaver gets really upset, buys hairspray and other products, looks even more ridiculous and his family gets concerned. Then Eddie Haskell finds out what happens and gives him a list of funny insults to tell the girl. Beaver then slams her with them the next day and she starts crying, and he gets in trouble.
Funny stuff.

I also like her hair longer. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing it grow to maybe shoulder-length.

Sam is one person I like shorter hair on. Even shoulder-length is short to me since my hair is down to the middle of my back. Probably a little longer since it needs to be trimmed! It's quite a pain to dry, which I am doing right now. But, I think I'd like her hair anyway it was. She always looks so nice! I must get back to this huge mass of wet stuff attatched to my head! --Brittany

um, eeeww...
I like Sam's hair. My favorite style of hers was from the later Great Hotels episodes. And while her natural color is beautiful, I think I like her better with the blonde highlights. But I agree with Photographerbrit. Sam wears short hair very well.
