In response to a couple of people with negative posts I would ask why do you bother to watch Great Hotels or post to this forum if you don't like Sam?I can't imagine anyone watching a show about hotels on any regular basis.Samantha makes the show - at least it's the only reason I watch the show.I got a kick out of the Hotel Monaco in Chicago but one five star hotel is not that much different than the next - they are all nice. I prefered Great Vacation HOmes and Girl Meets Hawaii because it put Samantha in more varied situations.Though I must admit I've actually watched some other Travel Channel programs after Sam got me into watching the network in the first place. I think her fans would watch her in just about anything.

Samantha is fabulous! I've never watched the travel channel PERIOD - until Samantha entertained me one afternoon regarding great hotels! That was three weeks ago and I'm hooked on Samantha! She is the wittiest, humorous, and prettiest little hostess of a very delightful show, and I believe that she makes that show as good as it is! She is sensational and I'm a fan forever! Gryffgirl

is on the Lake Rabun (GA) segment of the GVH episode. Homeowner Chuck Wallace took Sam on a ride on one of his many boats, gave her a swig of his special "Wallace Water" and Sam spits it out on the camera lens. The look she gives then is oh-so-cute... it shows her at the pinnacle of her all-too-human-ness... Jack (a samadmirer)

Unfortunately, when I asked samantha about the incident - in her forum - I didn't use the correct name of the lodge. I mistakenly referred to it as dancing bear lodge. She must have thoght I had her confused with some other samantha brown, he he.
But, personally, my favorite episode has to be her visit to Santa Barbara's Bacara Resort, She looks wonderful.

I have to say, I am not that big a fan of Sams' new doo,she was way cuter with the short hair but in the new episode from Philadelphia, she made my heart throb again even with that longer hair!

It was about her visit to a wonderful resort in Santa Monica. I believe it's the Shutters Resort.
Wow, she looks so cute as she rollerblades along the Santa Monica Pier.

It amazes me how well done these shows are considering they are mostly ad lib in front of the camera - Samantha comes off great. The commercial spots she does for the Travel Channel are also well done and her charisma comes through. It would be great if she got a chance to do some other TV or film.If she does any guest appearances hopefully the Travel Channel will let us know about it even if it isn't on their network.

The Lake Rabun episode was the Dancing Bear one. I had it taped and was watching it last month (I mean the month before the post), which led me to post about it. Jack (samadmirer, for this forum)
