I've watched Great Hotels a few times on and off while surfing the last few years. My impression of Sam then was hey she seems really nice and has a great way of showing the places she travels. A couple weeks ago I was watching the show and I dont know what happened, maybe it was the bikini scene on waikiki beach, or the scene where she marveled and delighted in her gourmet dinner, or perhaps the one where she cheerfully detailed every last fabulous detail about her hotel room, or the scene where she checks in and is so friendly and cheerful to everyone she meets, but I became completely smitten with her!

If you think about it she is a much better host of this kind of show than the perky blond models who host those vapid E! or ET shows on the other networks. She's at once completely hot while displaying the charm and down to earth naturalness of someone you might meet at work or someplace (or the proverbial girl next door!!!). You just don't see hosts of other shows that can show as much genuine enthusiasm and charm without seeming really fake. It takes quite a talent I think to be able to display on tv without inhibition a person who is very articulate about their subject and appearing to be genuine and impassioned.

I agree that Samantha Brown is an attractive and engaging personality, but I think it important to carefully consider words of praise lest they be considered hyperbole.

Therefore, it my considered opinion that Samantha Brown represents the pinnacle of human evolution and the most spectacularly beautiful woman ever to grace the earth with her presence.

If you want one, you can leave your email address and Sam will personally sign a picture and sent it to you.

Be patient though, I guess it can take mounths for her to get through them all. But she will send one as soon as she gets the time.

Don't know about anyone else, but be ready to wait for the pic awhile, I'm almost to six months, but I'm not complaining, well not really.

I really love her sense of humor and genuine excitement she shows. I have read many of her responses on the board and I find her open and honest replies very attractive. That she responds so often is really great.

Sam, if you do read this, I watch the show often and enjoy them very much. I also plan to check out the board often and hope to become one of your friends online. In one of your replies you said you live in New York, I was wondering where else you may have lived? How was your cruise experience? I have thought about booking one but... I totally agree. Samantha is just a down home, girl next door personality, and it makes me fit right in with wherever she goes. I feel like, "hey, I too can travel there someday!"

Merry Christmas!

I spent a day home from work (ill) for the first time in 5 years and had a chance to watch the Travel Channel all day. Samantha certainly is hot, yet elegant, and she makes every place she goes seem very inviting, but it is clearly her personality that warms the screen and invites viewers. She's the type of person we all would like to be around all day!
