Samantha,
I just watched your show on Cape Cod and I did enjoy it. But, I'm a little disappointed that there was no mention of Falmouth, Woods Hole, Sandwich and especially Bourne( I graduated from Bourne High class of 1966). There is the train bridge, the Mass Maritime Academy and ship, not to mention a trip down the canel. Maybe another show is in order.

Hi Sam, we just returned fron the Christmas Marts of Budapest,Vienna and Prague. Are you considereing any future shows about the holidays in these areas ? Vienna is espcially beautiful and festive in Holiday season and you can waltz or shop in the pettie point store (the owner thought you were lovely and charming ). Holiday stops like this or Scotland at New Years could make for a great series.
Please keep all of us up on your upcomming shows .We all miss you and await the next season.

Sam!

Not even sure where to begin but I know to make it brief, being the coolest talk show host ever is a grueling task!

I admire your work and you inspire me, as a woman,to achieve what you have done.

To be able to travel and experience all that you have, while earning a terrific income....show me the way! How can I get started! I truly believe that I would be great at what you do and further more would LOVE to do what you do. Ahhhhh, but where do you start?

Thanks so much and keep up the enthusiasm and beautiful smiles,

Erin!

WOW!!! I just recently watched all of your episodes of you doing the cruise ship thing and had a blast going along with you for the ride!!! I have watched a lot of your travel shows before in the past but the cruise ship shows were by far my favorites! You always look great in everything that you wear and I love your short sassy haircut and the way your bluejeans fit you...perfection!!! You have the cutest puppy dog eyes and I thought you were a princess in your pics of you when you were a teenager. You also have an extremely great personality(kudos to your parents) and I wish I could go on a travel adventure with you and drink some champagne, beer or wine because I bet you are a blast to party with!!! I saw your commercials for the new shows and will be watching on SATURDAY nights...you always look like you are having so much fun. Those hot dogs looked sssooooo delicious in the hometown episode and I wish I could try that secret sauce they put on them.

HAVE FUN SAM,
Sincerely,
Joey

p.s. if you ever decide to sail down the NILE in EGYPT stopping off at all of the incredible hot spots...please can I go with you??? I have always wanted to visit EGYPT and see all of the archeological remains and ruins there in person...I also want to visit the HOLY LAND and JERUSALEM...that would be real cool...I wish I could also visit ALL of EUROPE and CHINA too!!! JAPAN would be nice as well. I was born in PORT CHESTER, NEW YORK and moved to TEXAS when I was 6 and have been stuck here ever since except for the time I lived in NEWHALL, CALIFORNIA and worked for one of HOLLYWOOD's most famous animal trainers and stayed on his multi-million dollar ranch with his 3 sons.

Hi Sam

From: Serretta - February 21 2009 @ 2:49 pm

I have relatives that live in Cody that we have gone to see for the last 45 years.
You had white water rafting on there.

The Grand-daddy of all white water rafting & kayak races are on the Arkansas River in Salida, Colorado. They call it FIB-Ark (First in Boating on the Arkansas). The festival starts the Wednesday before Father's Day (June) every year, & ends on Sunday. The parade is on Saturday.
It might be something you would want to check out.
They have kayakers come from all over the globe for this event.
And they also have what they call "The Hooligan Race," it's anything that can float on the river. And people DO get creative making floatable objects. Ex: A huge Noah's Ark, A ski slope, & a bicycle with a ramp, to name a few that were in it last summer.
They also have live music in Riverside Park & a kids carnival as well.
It starts out with the Sertoma Breakfast Wednesday morning from 7:00am to 9:00am.
And they have high school girls who were chosen the be FIB-Ark hostesses to help out visitors.
And they have the Tenderfoot Hill Climb, in which locals or visitors can enter. They start at the 1st & "F" Street lights & then run & climb "S" mountain to the top & back down to the lights, trying to be the fastest time in their age group.
It's a wonderful celebration every year. And I've just told you just a few of the things that go on.
This coming year will be the 69th or 70th annual festival.
You can look it up on the web-site either under FIB-Ark, or under Salida, Colorado.
Salida is approx. 160 miles sw of Denver, located in a little valley in the "Heart of the Rockies" as everyone calls it.
There is approx. 5000 people in the town & approx. 14,000 people in the county (Chaffee County).

I have actually lived here for 35 years now.
People call it the "Banana Belt" of Colorado because we don't get the bad winter weather that all the other places in Colorado receives, or the hot, hot weather in the summer time. It is Usually mild here year round.

You might consider this as a holiday weekend?.
It's a wonderful town with several bed & breakfastes, and motels. Along with a lot of little specialty shops in "Historical Downtown Salida."

YOU are the travel channel to me. I have done a lot of traveling when I was younger and I enjoy seeing how much things have changed. The weekend shows are a little light but I am sure you will bring them along. Your overseas are very good and alows me trips down memory lane. I wish the travel channel would air more of your shows. I cannot say much about the new shows thay have come up with and remain nice. I wish you all the best.

Sam,

I'm so glad you're back you have being missed, it's not the same without you. But what's with the budget hotels (lol) I want my Sam back show me the fancy hotels and the nice restaurants. You have being my travel guide for a long time when I went to Hawaii I took your advice, Barcelona I stayed at Hotel Claris, and I love the new show and next weekend is Savannah one of my favorite ciries. So go for the fancy and leave the budget to Anthony and Andrew !!!!!

In my opinion, the first two shows of the new season are a promising improvement over last season’s shows. I long suspected that Lori Rothschild Ansaldi was responsible for the shortcomings in the earlier shows; I believe the improvement in the new season’s shows and her no longer being the executive producer for the Travel Channel is no mere coincidence. It’s obvious Samantha now has more creative control; although, I must say, I still miss PineRidge’s more tasteful production style. As for the budget theme, I guess we’ll all just have to imagine that Samantha is a trust fund traveler, whose trust fund unfortunately was invested with Bernie Madoff.

Sam, I don't know where I should add this but I had an idea for a new show. How about doing a behind the shop series. Go into how you plan a trip, find key sites, hotels, especially your personal guides, etc. We see you in so many places which is great but the work that needs to go into a production piece is very interesting. I think it would be helpful for people when doing their own travels.

Ok so I just signed up as a new fan so I am not sure if this is the right place to go for my note. Anyway, I am a longtime Samantha Brown fan who started watching Great Hotels years ago. Too bad that show is gone because I used to crack up watching Samantha make jokes here and there, my favorite being her trip to the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood where she made a comment about "it doesn't matter how you feel, it's how you look, and it all starts here (as she pointed to the bathroom)." A few days ago I purchased the entire season itunes of both Passport to Europe season 1 and 2, so I love watching it on my iphone. Can I purchase Great Hotels at some point?

Anyway, thanks for bringing a smile to my face and wish you and your team all the success that you deserve.

Samantha Brown is very funny in her jokes, especially when on the Cruise and trying to get away from the celebrity seekers.. she runs right into them on top deck..Her face was priceless.. I enjoy all her shows.. If ever you come to Hawaii..contact me..Probably could show you more of what LOCAL people do, and make it a bit more Aloha.. Keep up the good work.. I enjoy your European travels especially..

Just wanted to comment on how much I enjoy everything about the show. Samantha makes the show completely enjoyable. Who needs supermodels when ladies like Samantha are in the world. She looks better in bikini's and is so much more real then those made up ladies. Kevin is a very lucky man. Great I must say you do lead a charmed life my lady. Being from the greatest city in the world and then being able to visit every corner of our planet. Your husband is the only person is who is nearly as blessed. Excellent show and I watch whenever I get the chance. The destinations are wonder full but without the girl next door charm of Sam I would not watch as much as I do.Must watch tv for me. And yes I have a crush . No obsession here just an appreciation of beauty and class.
