Was it PineRidge? It just seemed different. I didn't get a chance to look at the credits, but I know many past Samantha specials were done with different people, more cameras, etc. This special, while it definitely had Samantha's flair and enthusiasm, seemed a bit more scripted and showy. Which isn't necessarily bad, but just different. I don't know. The part in the hotel, though... that brought me right back to Great Hotels (I finished the second half tonight). It was really weird for me, after practically growing up watching Sam on Great Hotels and then watching her jet around the world, and then I saw Sam, the one I saw in Latin America, right back in a Disney Hotel. It made me feel, as Sam said, "all warm and fuzzy." OOOOh and the Cinderella Castle suite scene... wow, that was like eating Godiva chocolate with Johnny Depp while watching Chocolat in France. In short, I was in heaven. Cinderella was always my favorite princess, and WDW has always been special to me, and I always wanted to live in that castle. And to have Sam show me around was, again, Godiva. What a treat--it was like Sam's little Christmas present to me!
Also interesting to see Sam at the World Showcase in Epcot after I've watched her explore the actual countries (except Japan... maybe later!).
I sooooooooo want to go to Disney for the holidays. And when I go, I'll do it right; I'll see everything, the lighting of the castle, the Osbourne lights, the Mickey's Christmas show thing, everything. But maybe not the Haunted Mansion as Nightmare Before Christmas seriously gives me the creeps. I can't even play that level in Kingdom Hearts (Disney/Squaresoft video game).
So if it
was PineRidge, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to not give you credit. It just seemed different to me, and I know that specials in the past have been filmed, etc. by other TC people. The camera work and such was great though.
