Travel Channel

Have enjoyed the Samantha Brown series (Europe and South America) for some time. Her personality made the show. The new Weekend shows reveal a personality that is coarser and less pleasant. Sorry to see the change. We don't need another Anthony Bourdain. We need the old Samantha back. Not too highbrow, but with a little class. Weekend Getaway show won't be on my list of shows to enjoy.

These new shows are awful. I am soooo disappointed as are some friends as we all loved to watch her travel series. It's almost dumbed down. No more hotel explorations and landmark spots, now it's drinking and too much giggling. We used to actually implement someof her suggestions into our travels, but now there's nothing to contribute. It's annoying and I'm done with the show. I can't believe my friends and I are the only ones who feel this way.

I agree. Samantha can be annoying at times. She's trying to hard to be nice and sweet. She needs to show some personality.
