The number one destination in London for anyone younger than 25 in their ‘alternative’ phase, but don’t let that put you off. The crazy market, home to all things ‘alternative’, strides north from Camden Town tube station. What is really worth visiting are the Catacombs, a sort of bizarre, permanent market selling everything from thrift store clothing to seriously good vintage furniture. And they are in a network of underground chambers that are actually old stables for horses working on the railways above. This place has to be seen to be believed.
