I can only guess that Cher and Streisand -the Other Drama Queens - were unavailable to host the show. For all his credentials and degrees, Jeff's commentary is mostly inane. I try to watch with the sound off. Everything is about ME, ME ME. Absolutely NO credit given to the many who do the real work of the show and in fact make it possible for Jeff to be on screen - with his big head blocking so many shots. The show is a great opportunity that Jeff has turned into a HUGH disappointment!

Well....."hikenhunt"....I guess then there is one solution..........Don't watch the show anymore..........huh????? Ofcourse... there is credit to all the "other" people that make the show possible, except try putting them on screen and to narrate and attract people's attention, everyone is made for a specific job, and that is how a work is successful. Even though I could agree that the show could be better......so can everything else in life, but overall it does a great job educating people!!!

I have never seen Jeff in other shows to compare him in this one. I think everyone will agree that the star of this show is Alaska, not Jeff. Every second spent panning on him for his belabored gifts for the obvious are seconds taken away from the true beauty of the landscape.

No it does not do a great job educating people. This show is full of misinformation. The facts are wrong, and not just minor details, but big ones. A biologist should know Orcas are not whales, and that they are matriarchal NOT patriarchal. Those are huge mistakes.

Just because you see it on TV does not mean it is true.
