Treasures Hunters:
We have received several inquiries over the past few months regarding the future of the TV show “Treasure Hunter” and the Treasure Hunting Wiki. As most of you know, both the website and the wiki has provided a unique platform and social community for treasure hunters to exchange information about the best spots to hunt for precious metals, relics, fossils and more.

However, the TV show, “Treasure Hunter,” has not been renewed for another season on the Travel Channel. In light of this change, both the TV show website and the Treasure Hunting Wiki will be removed from the TravelChannel.com website this fall. We encourage Wiki members who want to remove their content to do so before we discontinue the Treasure Hunting Wiki on September 30.

In early October, TravelChannel.com will relaunch, and we hope you will you continue visit TravelChannel.com for entertaining content and travel information.

I agree 100%! I really loved this forum, watching the shows, and getting to know other "Treasure Hunters" out there!

Ben,
It has been great fun, watching and rockhounding. Your show has done a lot for bringing the hobby to the general public. Kirsten & crew will be sorely missed.
I can't believe the powers that be would dump a show with so much adventure and personality. Without 'Treasure Hunter, Kirsten Gum' Travel Channel is looking more like the food network. Honestly, it has been weeks of eating and more eating. I hope the show is pitched to another network and it gets picked up, but I know it's a long shot.
Best wishes to all,
-Rocky.
