Disappointed is a little lite for what I saw during this episode. Most of it, at least in the discussions, was geared toward looking for slave tags or such artifacts. Several comments were geared toward the "sordid" history of the south. I would have thought that a semi-educational channel would have done a little homework before the show. Yes, without a doubt, slavery existed in the southern states. However, you contribute to the continued myth that many northerners propogate that southern states were the only place in America where slavery existed. Slavery existed in northern states and indeed throughout much of the world and continued in many places, even America, long after the end of the US Civil War. Yes, it was a tragedy but it was not isolated to southern plantations.
