Roaring Gold Camp.... It's always nice to see someone finding Gold. I wish Mr. Rodman would have given my Brother and I a nice Nugget. For the money it will cost you to stay the week in there cabins and a Gold bearing pile you could buy a 1 once nugget or even two. Between the 4 of us the cost was over $2000.00 with the cabin, gold bearing pile, food, and we found about $35.00 of gold.
Good luck with this place.

Great start to the new season. I love the extra focus on adventure. It's not all buckets & flumes out there, folks.
You go, Wild Woman.

It's all about the adventure folks!

Hell, where I live we don't even have any gold camps or any gold for that matter, I have to buy my panning concentrates online and sit in my back yard with a big ole wash basin panning & sluicing and it's more fun than you would think.

Thanks to Becky & Kirsten, I even bought myself a well used 14" slab saw and now have about 600 pounds of rocks & geodes to cut, slab & polish.

It is downright dirty fun Smile

KCNY,
No gold??? Out here Californy-ways I've never heard that phrase before. I couldn't find it in my encyclopedia of geologic terms, but a rockhound friend (originally from Jersey) explained it to me. Sad, sad. Frown
I was guessing from your screen name (kcny) that you may be from Kansas City or New York. What's your neck of the woods...and what kind of geodes have you been hounding? Dugways...Keokuks? Let us know.

-Rocky.
