maybe I can look around here for it dolltwin. The movie now probably would'nt be that scary, but in the 70's when you are only 10 or 11 years old and a dead child is calling back home to talk to his mom, lol it was. It was never at the movies it was made for tv as most films were back then.

I saw it again recently on tv and didn't sleep that night. There's something about that movie that scares me like crazy even though most people say its not that scary.

Has anyone heard of this series? Apparently, it's already being filmed for CBS.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0844487/

The plot outline sounds pretty intriguing:
Drama surrounding the lives of exorcists and those who investigate supernatural occurrences.

Dramatized version of TAPS maybe?

Thanks for the link Sodie. It does sound pretty interesting. I will be anxiously awaiting its release date. Curious, How did you find out about it?

LOL, Well I was curious if they were going to bring back Michael and Walt on Lost-so I went to a spoilers page. Someone mentioned that Harold Perrineau didn't want to return as Michael and if he did, it would be difficult due to the fact that Lost is filmed in Hawaii and Demon is filmed in LA.
So I imdb'ed Harold Perrineau...

The Travel Channel has showed this "legend" many times. Here's what Snopes.com has to say about the "cursed" mummy.

I wish there were more close up shots. Some pictures are so brief, I'm not certain what is being shown. (And what is with the first song?)

Cool tube sodie, some of the pics in that sequence even made me go wow.

It's been too many years since the family stopped speaking German (I was only 4 and you like to remind me how long ago that was so take your shot) but that's what that first song reminded me of.

I knew it was German, it's just not very...good. Wink
The second song will always remind me of the penultimate scene in Glory (great movie).

And believe it or not, no more shots about your age (even though YOU started it last July on my birthday. Razz ).

Ten days ago I was on my way out the door headed for work when my cat Henry got out just before I left. He's an indoor cat and has never been outside before. (I call him Mr. Oblivious because he's so oblivious to everything that goes on around him.) He's a really gentle cat and I named him Henry Hill because he's a "Goodfella".
What are the chances that I'll ever see my cat again? You know, with the heat and everything? I wish he would have just hooked up with all my neighbors' cats, they're always hanging around my yard. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with a missing cat?

Sodie, I have never had a cat stay a way 10 days, but one for almost a week. I was worried sick. She came home, tired, injured (from other cats, I assume) really happy to see her food bowl and her beloved human. I sure thought the worst and was even more blessed when she came home. Goog luck to you. Cats are travellers...

Thanks for the input, Almosthaunted. I'm still hoping he shows up at my door. Unfortunately, I can't help but think the worst at this point.

Once, I had a cat that was gone for 3 weeks. When she came back, she didn't look any worse for the wear.

If this has been mentioned already, sorry.

I've just come from seeing "Room 1408"... I don't know if I'd call it the scariest ever... but I thought, and my friends and 20 year old son thought that it was pretty dad-burned scary... in the 'spooky' style, not the slasher style.

I won't spoil it for you- but about halfway thru it, I was convinced the main character was having a bad acid trip... but no.

Anyway- I'ts definetly not 'run of the mill' horror... so if you want something a little different, go for it. Full of surprises, twists and turns.

It is much better than "An American Haunting".

That cinches it, I'm gonna catch a matinee next week. I love King, and his newest movies have been much better than the early ones. I also love John Cusack. Thanks, Morbi. Wink

The movie "23" comes out on dvd this month and wondered if anyone has seen it? I usually rent movies before I decide to add them to my collection and wondered if it was even worth renting. I'm interested in the fact that it has Jim Carey playing in a thriller instead of a comedy. I love when actors stretch into diferent roles and don't play the same kind of characters.
