ive been on that rode alot, and i dont think its spooky. i know they have some huge microwave towers out there with the brightest tower lights ive ever seen. youd be driving on the road at night, and one would be 3 miles away but will still shine a light on you. crazy..

for me, i dont like driving on 59 north after cleveland.

sodie...it's spooky to me, only at night, 1) because I was by myself and 2) it's that part of I-10 that is a low straight bridge over the marsh area w/no exists. It was that way in the 80's. I was down there in March and I know they've been doing some construction. My memory may not be exact, but it's in that area on past Dayton.
trekker...does 59 run through Alabama?

Old Foamy Road, south of Cleburne, Texas is pretty creepy. Legend has it that if you drive down there and park on the old bridge and honk three times the Goat Man of Johnson County will come out and dance on the top of your car. Needless to say, that's a load of crap! The real reason it's creepy to me is way back in 1988 there was a murder on that road. The guy was killed with an old fashoned car jack, you know, the ones that came with the cars back in the 60's and 70's. Anyway, I was a rookie with the sheriff's office and that was my first real introduction to the brutality of a crime scene. That case has stuck with me all these years. That road just gives me the creeps to drive on, especially at night.

lol thats funny to hear someone asking that, but yeah they are in texas. cleveland is maybe an hour or so away from downtown, and not sure exactly where deyton is at the moment. the only thing about cleveland is that its not a great place for old people because they get murdered Frown

Mswick,

We have an old school on a lonely isolated road that is said to be haunted (something to do with witchcraft). I've never been there because I don't want to visit with any demons. Eek

Rmontanez, check out the lighthouse on Jeckel Island near Brunswick. I and some of my fellow officers visited there in 1995 when we were in training at Glencoe. It's supposed to be haunted. There was a multiple murder there in the late 1800's, it involved a love-triangle. Happy Hauntings.

I'm suprised no one talked about Bragg Road in Big Thicket. That road is really creepy to me. I've even seen the light while going down it. It's really creepy if you turn the headlights off for just a second.

After high school graduation a friend of mine and I used to drive around in the country and get lost. We came across this spooky road. It wasn't haunted or anything, just dark and it was foggy out so it added to the spooky factor. Smile I miss those days..

Good question, not many talk about roads

As I recollect, there is one dirt road I traveled on at night that was weird. I had the feeling of being watched from the side of the road, as if the vehicle was passing by a lines of people.

After returning to town one of our group commented that he was glad we were back because he had an uncomfortable feeling on that road that we were being watched. Others agreed.
