There has been a lot of stories at my old school in Durham in the North-East of England. The school's name is Durham School. It was built in 1414 and has been a school since 1541. My teachers told me a lot of stories about spirits and ghosts at school. In the modren language/french department someone hanged themselves sometime in the late 1700's to the early 1800's. There has been a lot of stories that range from classroms getting mixed up to paper weights getting moved around the rooms. There has also been many sightings of ghostly people in one of the boarding houses very recently. We have a small chapel on top of a hill in the center of the school. My french teacher was married there and she said that her wedding planner claimed that she could see spirits and that when they were in the chapel sorting there flower arrangments she claimed that she saw one of the deceased teachers from about 200 years ago and at the mention of candles he left them alone.
