What's up TJ's, Im glad you guys are in San Francisco, its really a gorgeous city! Be sure to try out a San Francisco must eat, the Clam Chowder bread bowl! Try one at any restaurant in Fisherman's Warf! If you want a great view of the San Francisco skyline go out to Treasure Island. You will also have great views of Alcatraz, Oakland, the Golden Gate bridge and the whole Bay area!I hope you have an awesome time out there!

If you want to eat great Italian food in a high energy local setting, this tiny place will surely float your boats. Between the cramp tables, brothers arguing back and forth from the kitchen to the dining room(in Italian of course) the food is home style GREAT & very resonsibily priced. It's my favorite little local spot in the city. It was written up in the SF Chronical by, I forgot now, but the article was called, IF I ONLY HAD ONE MORE MEAL, and of course he wrote all about this restaurant. It's worth your time, so go enjoy!!!!! http://sanfrancisco.citysearch.com/profile/911136/

I'm honestly shocked that five travellers can stay in San Francisco for a week can avoid anything related to queer culture.
I mean, this is the City in "Tales of the City" where (as previously mentioned) Beach Blanket Babylon plays and places like Mr. S Leathers shows off the freedom and openness the Bay Area is known for.
One other thing. When you travel on a budget, you stay in basic hotels, hostels, and guesthouses. Why is it that 25% of the "splurge" moments to take in a special quality of a city involved going to some luxury hotel? What does some resort show of any place's culture or people? Maybe the American penchant for "livin' large" rubs off too easily.
