Last August (2006), my wife and I found this restaurant in downtown Cancun that has an incredible Mayan motif, an outdoor dining area great for dinner, and an incredibly delicious lobster tail in a creme, served inside of a coconut. I recommend this restaurant highly - a hidden 5 star jewel in downtown Cancun. Dinner about $50 US per person (including beverages).

Been to Cancun over 25 times. We love it. Please know that La Habichuela is a tourist trap. The atmosphere is nice, depending if the mosquitoes are not out that night. The food is average or below. It used to be the best place to visit, now we tend to stay away. There are many other restaurants that offer excellent food.
