When in the Motor City one must visit this historic eatery. It is the original coney island restaurant located on Lafayette Blvd in Downtown Detroit.

Over 100 years old and serving the best coney island hot dogs in the State of Michigan.

There are no table menu's, just an old fashioned sign on the wall. The waiters have their own names for the food and call out the orders to the cook. When its time to pay the waiters add up the total in their heads!!

The food is served hot and you don't have to wait long.

The hot dogs are Koegels skin on dogs and the buns are steamed and fresh. The coney sauce is hot and is so abundant that you need to eat the coney with a fork! Also good are the chili cheese fries and a "loose burger". This is ground beef served on a hot dog bun with coney chili. The coneys and loose burgers are great with chopped onions and mustard.

A must stop after a Wings game or a night at the Post Bar!!
