Each time I go to Austin, a group of friends and I do not miss the opportunity to go to "The Ivory Cat" on 6th Street as well as "Pete's Piano Bar" also on 6th Street. With great comedic timing and familiar musical melodies, a sing-a-long is never too far away!!! Beware though! Sometimes slightly risque, the lyrics are designed to help fade the stress of the day away through laughter!
I live in Austin and I wouldn't want to live anyplace else. Just love it! But, I do have some bad news about 6th street. It is more dangerous than ever. Many violent beatings have happened while people walk to their car. Walk in big groups to keep safe. I know this can happen in other cities, but be warned!
