If you ever wan t to try real Texas style BBQ, on the west coast. Bull's Smokin' BBQ, is where you need to go! It is in San Diego, right by Sea World... it is amazing. They smoke all of their ribs and almost everything is house made, and it is noticable in its taste. Their cornbread is delicious and the gumbo is to die for.
It would be awesome to see Adam eat their Trough special. Their has only been a few customers finish the whole thing and the record time is 30 minutes. The Trough includes: 6-8 smoked pork ribs, 6 smoked beef ribs, a half smoked chicken, a smoked salmon filet, a piece of cornbread, and 2 sides of your choice (beans, fries, coleslaw, mac and cheese, sweet corn). They have only been open for a few months, and they serve their food in large portions but pretty low prices. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a very casual western/ country theme with a backyard BBQ feel. Its really relaxing to hang out on thier patio, listen to music and socialize. Bull's Smokin' BBQ would be a great place to visit. Check out their website bullssmokinbbq.com. |

Adam, fellow brooklynite. . .
You must do a show in the Central Coast of California (Santa Barbara to Paso Robles) Not only does the central coast boast the best bbq in the country (Santa Maria style bbq found in each of these areas in locals backyards, parking lots with massive bbq pits for charities, and amazing bbq restaurants including Jockos (nipomo), McKlintocks (avila beach), the Hitching Post, etc), but is also home to some of the best clam chowder (splash cafe in Pismo beach), best burgers (Sylvesters in Los Osos (massive burger, just google it) and the famed IN-N-OUT (this is not a local fast-food place, but is only found on the west coast and offers secret menu items such as burgers ordered Animal Style and burgers ordered to size (the biggest I've seen is a 16x16 (16 patties of meat and 16 pieces of cheese), but you can get them as big as your stomach desires (google that one too))) Frank's Hot Dogs in San Luis Obispo has a mini-burger challenge and Firestones Restaurant is a must stop for flavorful burgers, fries, and local brews. There's no question here, go to the Central Coast. burger.jpg (50 KB, 1 downloads) IN-N-OUT |

After watching the episode on Las Vegas, I went to try Hot and Juicy Crawfish. It doesn't even comes close to a place in Orange County, California called The Boiling Crab. They have several locations but I suggest going to the one on Brookhurst.
I would recommend Adam to try Boiling Crab and see which one he thinks is better. |

Best burgers! Hodad's is awesome. It is by the beach in Ocean Beach and you usually have to wait in line to even get in. You can enjoy the messy burgers there or at the beach. They taste amazing and it is an awesome atmosphere.

Adam, have you ever had the opportunity to be the first? I am offering you the chance to set the bar by being the first person to attempt a new food challenge.
There is a breakfast pizza that is home in the Imperial Sand Dunes near El Centro Ca. It starts of with a large pizza crust, hollandiase sause, 2 dozen scrambled eggs, diced ham, sausage, bacon, topped with hash browns and then a heaping amount of cheese. The center of the pizza is 4-5'' thick. How much does it weigh? Not really sure! Come to Glamis in the Imperial Sand Dunes, take a ride in a 600+ horse power sand car, glide through the dunes and jump into the sky. Experience Wheelie Bowl, Olds Hill and the drags. Come meet Mama Jeannie at the pizza shop and sit down with some good folks and have the chance to set the bar in a challenge that has been created just for you. If you think you might need a partner for the challenge I may be able to help. Jeannie said I ate the most she has ever seen, 2 1/2 pieces but I could do more if I didn't have to work later or take the sand car out. Be the first picture on the wall, set the bar. I double dog dare you! Matt |

THE COUNTRY WAY, FREMONT, CA
This place is fantastic! its located in the bay area city of Fremont. Their enormous portions of breakfast, lunch, and dinners are delicious. I have been going there for more than 20 years and they have always had the same owners. Winners of "Best Local Breakfast" countless times and I have met quite a few celebrities there. Including pro wrestler Brett Hart and San Francisco 49ers running back Michael Robinson. you won't be disappointed, I swear!!! |
