I absolutely second Hash House A Go Go!!! This place would be a perfect fit for the show with the decor and way they present the food. Anytime I'm anywhere near San Diego I make sure I stop there. I don't think they have a challenge but, again, the presentation and decor would really shine on the show. They've been very unique for a number of years...massive plates of good grub...flapjacks the size of manhole covers! Well, not really but close!

Time to head back to Little Tokyo in Los Angeles!!

There's a new place in the Japanese Village area called Wakasaya that has a challenge called the Bikkuri-don. It's basically a huge rice bowl topped with all kinds of sashimi. Apparently only about 200ish people have ever succeeded (including Japan)!

There's an awsome breakfast / lunch joint in Pacific Beach called the Broken Yoke. Everything is good on the menu and they have a sturdy challenge. Served on a 15 inch pizza pan, one side is a 12 egg omelet with mushrooms, onions, and american cheese topped with chilli and more cheese. On the other side of the pan is a very large helping of home fries and 2 biscuits. If you eat it in 1/2 an hour its free. The time limit is an hour and your name goes on a plaque in the hall of fame. Give it a go Adam!

Adam, you must come visit the HASH HOUSE A go-go in San Diego, CA. I don't believe they have any specific food challenge, but the food is incredible--both in taste and size! Just to get your mouthwatering.... they offer a BLT bloody mary, pancakes and waffles bigger than the plate with such flavors as snickers or bacon, hefty scrambles and benedicts and the list goes on... You really shouldn't miss this place. Hope to see you down here soon! http://www.hashhouseagogo.com/home.html

Pho Garden on 22nd and Clement Street has a Pho Challenge that looks pretty tough to beat (you should see the size of the chopsticks). If you can finish the bowl in 1 hour you eat free, and get a t-shirt.

Taco Station in Riverside, Ca has a 5 pound burrito that I would like to see Adam try to eat. It's an old gas station turned into a taco eatery. The food is great! You can go to tacostation.com for pictures and videos.

Adam!!! If you are ever in San Diego, Go east to Nori Sushi in Alpine. They have the first and only sushi roll challenge. It called the Heavyeight Sumo Roll, almost 5lbs., have tempera shrimps, soft shell crabs, Kani, avocados, cucumbers, and cream cheese in soy paper then deep fried. It big and good. Plus, their sushi is very good. Give them a try
