While this city is not even close to the size of Kansas City or Saint Louis, it blows both away with its food.

First, there is a challenge at Ben's Carriage House. This involves eating an 18 egg Omelette reinforced by a ridiculous amount of hash browns in 20 minutes. It is delicious and a very easy route to diabetes. Continuing along the thread of gluttony, Lambert's is one of the nations most famous restaurants and being located in Springfield is a culinary, must visit for any show, especially those centered in Springfield.

On top of those, "pig out palaces", there are many other amazing restaurants in this town worth exploring. These range from the best salsa in the country at George's Steak House (yes, its a steakhouse with spectacular Mexican Food, strange, but easy to over look once one gets a taste). There are many gourmet restaurant such as the Flame Steakhouse, Bijans, Touche, Valentine's, Metropolitan Grill, Doe's Eat Place and Ocean Zen. Perhaps, Springfield's greatest claim to fame are its countless, excellent, Chinese restaurants (what do you expect from the birthplace of Cashew Chicken?). That is just the tip of the iceburg however, as Springfield is home to several excellent choices for every genre of food such as excellent wings at places like Coyote's Adobe Cafe, Big Whiskey Bar and Grill and the Springfield Brew Co. There are numerous sushi restaurants, excellent Mexican places such as Marias and Cielito Lindo and many more. Another place that should be noted, is a barbaque joint called Boxcar BBQ that rivals the greats in Kansas City. Very simply, gluttony and gourmet are neighbors in Springfield. This city, which is completely unexplored by the Travel Channel (as Missouri in general is)would be an excellent location for Man vs Food.

Isn't Lambert's in Sikeston, not Springfield?

Lambert's is in Ozark, just south of Springfield, Sikeston, MO (Original location) and Mobile, Alabama.
