I know Adam already downed 15 doz oysters...blech! BUT if he has a chance, San Francisco has an old (over 100 years old) establishment called Swan's Oyster Depot that is a hidden sweet spot in the Bay Area. Decor hasn't changed much since it's opening way back and it is run by the same family. The food is seafood, brought in fresh daily and they prepare your crab, oyster, whatever...right there in front of you. The chowder is wonderful (and I hate clams) and it's just a great little spot to visit where the locals go.
