Please post your food challenge suggestions here for this state. If you have photos and video of the location, please upload them on our What's Your Trip site.

Here are some past posts about locations in this state:

Water Wheel, Jefferson

In Jefferson, NH, on 1955 Presidential Highway, off of Rt. 2 lies a little restaurant called the Water Wheel. They are famous for their giant, delicious, buttermilk pancakes that range from 9 to 10 inches in diameter. In the menu there are three mountainous food platters. Ranging them from smallest to largest they are: the Mt. Madison, Mt. Jefferson, and the one and only Mt. Washington. The Mt. Washington consists of three of the mouth-watering pancakes, three eggs cooked to your choice, a mound of homefries, three sets of toast, and your choice of ham, bacon, Canadian bacon, or sausage(link or patty). Whenever I watch your show I think you should try this challenge of literally mountainous proportions.

I highly suggest that you guys visit Muddy River Smokehouse. They have a dish there that they call "The Squealer". It's a full rack of ribs, a pound of pulled pork, half a chicken, a pint of baked beans and garlic mashed potatoes and cornbread. Plus you have to eat it all in an hour!!!

I have a food challenge for you Adam and I'd like to compete with you. It's a challenge I haven't done yet, so I have no upper-hand over you.

It's at Ben and Jerry's in Montpelier, NH called "the Vermonster". It's a scoop of every flavor ice cream Ben and Jerry's has, with all the toppings. You have to eat it in one sitting without throwing up or going to the bathroom. Wanna compete?

Billy Burger Challenge....

4 - 1/2 burgers with bbq sauce, cheese and canadian bacon
basket of fries
4 pickle spears
all done in one half hour

only 44 men have completed in 436 tries... right around 10%, only one woman in less than 50 tries
I would like to see this happen on the travel network...many places in NH to feature, all well within 1 hour travel of Billy's in manchester NH

The Peterborough Diner, Peterborough NH
In this perfectly stereotypical quaint New Hampshire town, in the middle of what we call Depot Square is the Peterborough Diner. Classic train-car style diner, dining bar and all. The challenge here is a breakfast challenge, called the Belly Buster. This consists of three eggs, three slices of bacon, three slices of toast, three sausage patties, three pancakes, three slices of french toast and homefries. Appropriately named, yes? Check it out here: http://www.peterboroughdiner.c...m_frontpage&Itemid=1 PS my big brother would love a challenger

JP's Eatery in Durham, NH (next to U.N.H. campus) has the Slapshot challenge. It has 15 sliders (mini burgers), large fries and a milkshake. You have 30 minutes to eat it. The contest began about a year ago. There have been 117 challengers and only 10 people have beat the time. Most winners have taken the majority of the 30 minutes to complete it. One guy, Andy Bo, did it in less than 13 minutes! When somebody beats the best time, the Slapshot plate is names after them.

The Muddy River Smokehouse is the ultimate in BBQ. My husband's best friend attempted the squeeler and about 45 minutes into it, the only place you could find him was in the bathroom! It's a challenge that I can't wait to see if Adam can handle. I think in this case, the food will win!

I would love to see Adam come to UNH and take the Slapshot challenge at JP's eatery. UNH is an amazing school with a lively campus, and I'm sure with just a little bit of advertising, Adam could draw a huge crowd, especially on a Thursday or Friday night. As mentioned above, the challenge consists of eating 15 sliders, a large order of fries, and a milkshake in 30 minutes. Knowing what Adam is capable of, I would say that this should be a fairly easy challenge. The awesome part would be seeing the crowd he could draw while on the UNH campus.

OK Adam!
Are you ready for this one? Go to Hill's Top BBQ in Bartlett for the "Face Melter Challenge!" I tried it yesterday and could only get through one-and-a-half wings before giving up! I love spicy food, but just couldn't do it! You have to eat ten (standard hot wing) wings in five minutes off the bone, with no drink, no sauce, you can't wipe your face and you have to wait for fifty-five seconds after completing before you take a drink! Good luck! If you make it, you get your picture on the "Wall Of Flame" and you get a t-shirt! The owner's, Lisa and Jay Hill, are awesome people and there staff are great too! Come up and try it Adam! Just let me know when you come - 'cause my family love's your show and we want to be there! By the way - I thought I wanted your job until I tried those wings!!!
