Please post your food challenge suggestions here for this state. If you have photos and video of the location, please upload them on our What's Your Trip site.

Here are some past posts about locations in this state:

Or the SumoMin too, giant size saimin!!! Other "ono" places on the island- Tex Drive In (for the Malasadas, a Portuguese Donut)) or Big Island Grill for the biggest and best stack of coconut pancakes you've ever had, or will ever try, coming from the "coconut pancakes girl"(according to their waitresses Smile )

Mac Daddy Pancakes, Waikiki

Mac 24-7 (Mac = Modern American Cuisine ) is a Jetson's meets 1950's Diner in Waikiki! The specialty of the house is a (3) stack of 14" "Mac Daddy Pancakes". They are served with 3 combos of toppings - all fresh daily. My favorite is the Macadamia Nut & Pineapple topping. Adam - they are free if you can eat the whole plate!

I would like to recommend Moose McGillycuddy's Pub & Cafe. There are three locations in Hawaii: Waikiki on Oahu, Kihei & Lahaina on Maui. We sell the 'Moose Omlette' which is a twelve egg omlette with sausage, bacon, potatoes, onions, mushrooms and a side of toast. If a customer eats the omlette within one hour they receive a t-shirt and their name added to our wall of fame. Check our website at www.mooserestaurantgroup.com or you can e-mail me directly at kthompson70@gmail.com.

ALOHA!

You, should go to a place called LuLu's in Kailua, Kona. I dare you to eat a dozen of their HOTTEST Wings! Will light you on fire... as soon as it touches your tougue!!! They don't have a challenge at LuLu's but I think you'll find it worth your while. The first time I had those wings, I couldn't get past the first wing... and I love HOT wings!!!! Aloha ....

Adam, you MUST come to Hawaii! On Big Island alone, there are two places you must visit: in Hilo, go to Cafe 100, famous not only for their loco moco, but nearly any dish you can order, you can get it SUMO SIZED! There's a big ritual, a gong is sounded, people chant....it'd be great TV, and it's fun to watch as a customer.

On the Kona side, try the taro crepes at U-top-it, totally great and unique (especially the Kanak Attack). Nearly next door is Island Lava Java, with the HUGEST cinnamon roll (it hangs over the plate) you'll ever see, all served with a magnificent oceanside view. Again, it'd be glorious-looking TV!

Then there are malasadas, spam musubi,...I could go on and on! Adam, we'd love to host you and show you some aloha -- cuz we love to eat here, just as much as you!

Try Dixie's Cafe on Oahu. They have a 2 lb burger(after cooking) with a pound and a half of fries and a pound of coleslaw challenge that you get 30 minutes to complete. The burger is quite tasty as well.

Hawiian Blizzard on Kaua'i:
Adam has to do the Hawaiian Shaved Ice Challenge at Hawaiian Blizzard in Ka'apa on the Island of Kaua'i! We just came back from vacation and this guy has the smoothest shaved ice stacked high and he has a 14 Ice Cup Challenge! No standing in the sun, no peeing, and 14 cups down in 30 minutes without a brain freeze!
