Lee's Burgers, Slidell

It's a small place, enough room for about 20 -30 people, but a lot of business is take out. Most of the time it's packed at lunchtime so it's best to get it to go. This place has been in Slidell for 57 years and in 1955 a man eat 17 Lee burgers in one setting and that record as not been bet in all this time."

1 hour - max of 4 people - you get to name the sundae and get your picture permanantly mounted on a license plate on the wall of fame - if you lose, you get a smaller picture on the wall of shame.
Anyone who can eat it by themselves in an hour or less gets it free!

The whole point of mod_ben taking the time to list postings sorted by state (thanks and kudos to you, ben) was to avoid duplicate entries. Read the previous entries before posting the same thing again! The Creole Creamery is the first place on the list!

The best sandwich in the world, hands down is from Darrell's in Lake Charles. The Darrell's Special. Three meats (turkey, ham and roast beef), three kinds of cheese, roast beef gravy, dressed with homemade jalapeño mayo on French bread. It's really good!

I'd like to suggest looking into a barbecue restaurant in Lafayette called 2Paul's. Every Tuesday, they have all-you-can-eat ribs. The record is 30! I own the record, and my girlfriend suggested I try to ask Man vs Food to come down. It'd be a great challenge for Adam, and he'd certainly receive a warm welcome. The place is becoming very popular in the area, especially for their pulled pork sandwiches and now-famous side: rice dressing. I hope you give it some consideration. Acadiana is a great area to go to if you're looking for good food, and it's very different from New Orleans, even though it's only about 140 miles away.

Here is a link to the website: http://www.2paulsbbq.com

I hope Adam comes down for a visit. 2Paul's would offer a good challenge, especially with the spicy barbecue sauce to go with the ribs, but there are many other great local restaurants to eat at.

You may want to take a look at http://www.eatlafayette.com/restaurants.html for some ideas. I really hope you do. Oh, and 2Paul's is on the list as well, in case you'd like more information about them.
