Plese! Please! Please! You have to come to Wings tc. in Goose Creek, SC. These wings are rediculous! I watched a dude take one, only one, bite and quit. You have 30 minutes, which would seem like plenty of time, but these things are serious. And if you want a good turn out, you can garauntee that local support will turn out. I know you do a lot of wings, but these are sick. The place has 22 ways to get wings, pizza, pastas, sandwiches, and $1 draughts. Come on man, you can't beat that. The people are great, the food is great, and the beer is cheap. Man heaven. Come down south and check it out.

Try the War Dog at The Big Bamboo in Hilton Head Island. It's fantastic and huge! It's basically a qtr pound hot dog wrapped in bacon, stuffed with cheddar cheese, battered and then deep fried, served open-faced with chili and cheese topping. Amazing!

MoJos in Simpsonville, SC has a burger that I think you need to try to tackle. It is called a quadruple bypass. Many have tried to eat but none have completed the task. A short description is 4 grilled cheese sandwiches with about a 1/3 pound chili cheeseburger with bacon and a fried egg stacked on top of each other. It ends up being about 12 to 14 inches tall. Come on down and give it a try.

Adam ! You need to come to Spartanburg, SC - home of The Beacon Drive-In! It's a staple of any college student w/in a 50 mile radius, and a legend in the Upstate of SC. They even sell gallons of Beacon Tea in grocery stores around here. The Beacon serves the usual fast food fare: hotdogs, burgers, fries, rings, etc. But you have to meet Mr. J.C.- the blind, order taker known for asking customers to "CALL IT!" He's been there for years! The best part of the Beacon, however, is ordering your food "A-Plenty"- covered in a mountain of fries & rings! You literally have to dig your burger out of it! And just a fun fact for you: The Beacon Drive-In sells more iced tea than any other restaurant in the United States!! Check them out!!

Adam, you need to try Sullivans Restaurant on Sullivans Island. It is my families restaurant and we have been around for 20 years. We have many dishes I think you may like; like the 7-layer. The 7-layer is a pasta dish with sauteed shrimp, scallops and crabmeat tossed with fettuccini and creamy Mornay cheese sauce, topped with bacon and mozzarella cheese. Baked golden brown. I guarentee you will fall in love with this dish. Sincerely, Jadon

I second Mojo's Burgers in Simpsonville. They have a Quadruple Bypass challenge. You can win $50 if you can tackle it. It is 4 huge patties stacked in between 4 grilled cheese, made with 2 hamburger buns each, with chili bacon and a fried egg. COMPLETE with a giant side of fries and coleslaw. Their burgers are delicious, and very large as it is, with some great combinations, like the spicy El Diablo, and the Big Kahuna with grilled pineapple. I would love to see someone try to take down the Quadruple Bypass!

Adam - you need to visit Abbeville/Greenwood area in South Cackalacky and take down a Mennonite restaurant's Colassal Burger. Yes, ironic that a Mennonite restaurant would serve such a gluttonous menu item. But it rocks, nonetheless.

See article from the local newspaper, The Index-Journal, below.

Dutch Oven’s colossal burger relished as biggest in Upstate

ABBEVILLE -- With all apologies to Hardee’s, this is a monster burger.

Abbeville’s Ivan Swartzentruber, owner of The Dutch Oven restaurant, has concocted an utterly massive burger he is billing as the largest in the Upstate. It’s a sandwich so big it has to be served on a pizza dish and is big enough to feed a group of up to six people.

Swartzentruber said he originally got the idea to create the three-pound monstrosity from a friend in Colorado.

"I started this as a promotional gimmick and to hype up our customers,” Swartzentruber said. "Customers love it when we come out (of the kitchen) with one. Everyone grabs their cell phone to take a picture of it.”

Swartzentruber offers a challenge to any one person who thinks he might be able to eat the largest burger in the Upstate.

In order to complete the challenge, the eater must eat the entire three-pound burger and all the fries in under one hour.

If the eater completes the challenge, the meal is free. If not, they are leaving with a bill of $21.95 ... and, most likely, some serious indigestion.

Several have tried, but only one person has been able to meet the challenge so far: Abbeville’s Tim Stanley.

“Not too many people are going to be able to do it,” Swartzentruber said Monday, with a laugh.

Because of the time involved in creating the massive burger (it takes two hours to bake the bun, for example), Swartzentruber said anyone who wants one should call ahead of time at 366-5513.

The Dutch Oven’s colossus is made of the following:

- Two 1.5-pound fresh beef patties - a total of three pounds.

- Eight slices of cheese.

- Half of a head of lettuce.

- A whole tomato.

- Half a cup of onions.

- Half a cup of pickles.

- Mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup.

- Served on a pizza tray with 12 ounces of French fries.

- The burger’s bun - which roughly has the circumference of a Frisbee - is baked fresh, as Swartzentruber said he could not find a bun sold anywhere big enough to contain the cavalcade of meat, cheese and veggies.
