Please post your food challenge suggestions here for this state. If you have photos and video of the location, please upload them on our What's Your Trip site.

Here are some past posts about locations in this state:

Wintzell's Oyster House, Mobile

I love going to their original location in downtown Mobile which is adorned with all kinds of sayings from Oliver Wintzell, who opened the restaurant in 1938. Hope you come and check it out Adam. It would be great to root you on to victory.

Mugshots Bar and Grill, Tuscaloosa

Mugshots has the best burgers in town, not to mention their great beer battered fries and fried pickle chips. I haven't seen anybody actually try the Mugshot but here's the challenge. The Mugshot Burger challenge: 3 8oz patties, 6 strips of bacon, plus swiss and cheddar cheese and the works (mayo, mustard, lettuce, onion and tomato), add an order of fries, an onion ring, and a beer batter pickle. Finish in 12 minutes and you're a winner.

Blackwell Behemoth Challenge in Cahaba Heights, AL:

Daring diners can try to take on the Blackwell Behemoth, a three-pound monster with fries that sells for $22. Those who can "conquer this beast" in less than an hour get it free, along with a Blackwell's T-shirt and their photo on the wall.

Adam should come to Tuscaloosa on an Alabama home game weekend. He should eat at Ramma Jamma's in the morning and then he should go to Mugshot's after the game. If he wanted bar-b-q he should go to Dreamland for the best ribs in the south.

I actually did the Mugshot Challenge Friday afternoon, and I gotta say, I'd be interested in seeing Adam try it. It's an awful lot of food to eat in under 12 minutes. And, hey, if he wants a race, I'm up for it.

What about Sweet Bones Alabama in Birmingham. My husband and I ate there after the TN v. AL game. It was the best I had ever had and I am from Tennessee. I had had ribs in Memphis, N.C, and Texas. In the ghetto and in the 4 star. This was GOOD!

If you dare! Conquer this 3 1/2 pound beast & fries in under an hour and the Burger’s on US!
Plus we’ll throw in a Blackwell’s T-shirt & your photo on the WALL OF FAME! It would be awesome i would sit and take it on myself!!!!
