Pine Island Sound, Florida

Would be a great place to do a show. Pine Island Sound has tons of little local restaurants, all reachable by boat. You could do an entire show from the water. Potential destinations to sample the local flavor- Cabbage Key, The Mucky Duck, the Bubble Room, Tarpon Lodge, Barnacle Phils, The Green Flash, Matanzas Inn, Gramma Dot's, the Ragged Ass Saloon, Woodys... and many more. Sanibel and Captiva are the 'famous' islands as far as tropical vacation spots and touristy stuff, and several of the above are on either Sanibel or Captiva- but Pine Island Sound has tons of little out of the way places too, if you know where to go- which I do! My family spends all our free time on the water, we have boats, and it would be a great pleasure showing y'all around if you want to come. There's even a "food challenge" for the show, at a place called the Waterfront- a burger that's an easy 5 pounds. No way you finish it- but it is suitably impressive, for show purposes! Cold beer, good food, salt water- y'all will have a good time, so e-mail me if you want to talk more about it.

McGuire's Irish Pub in Pensacola has some very interesting and delicious food on their menu. The "Garbage Burger" should be one of the first items you try. This is such a fun and entertaining place to eat dinner and have a drink or two. Hope you will put it at the top of your Places to Visit list.

If you're in the mood for pancakes, I know a place.
It's called the Old Spanish Sugar Mill in DeLeon Springs State Park in DeLeon Springs, Florida. In that restaurant, we have table that has an electric grill that you can actually make your own pancakes (we can make our own French Toast, too)! They have selective toppings which is blueberries, chocolate chips, apples & cinnamon, peanut butter, and more.
Please make sure that Adam comes by! We can make him a challenge for it, like eat a whole stack of pancakes for just 30 minutes or less!

Tallahassee, FL--Stevie B's Pizza

I think that Adam would have a tough time doing Stevie B's flamethrower. It's a small slice of pizza, but it certainly packs a punch. It is so hot(he won't tell you everything that's in it), that you get 20 minutes to eat it (it's a small piece of pizza I remind you) and then you have to hold it for 15 minutes. None of my friends have ever completed it, and only a couple hundred people have actually done it. It's a great pizza buffet place and the owner makes you whatever pizza you could imagine. It's a great place, and I highly recommend Adam to try the flamethrower!

Adam has got to make it to South Florida. First pay a visit to Shula's Steakhouse in Ft. Lauderdale or Miami and see if you can eat the 48 ounce best steak you will find. While here Adam must pay a visit to Jaxson's ice cream in Dania and attempt to eat the kitchen not only is it the biggest it is the best.

Cine-It Burger has to be one of the best restaurants in the Village of Pinecrest, FL. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, french fries, chicken sandwiches...and the list goes on.. all fresh, made to order. They have a Super Godzilla Challange that is pretty tough to beat. Its a 5 patty burger (1.25lbs) with 5 cheeses, plus 4 toppings of your choice. Plus an order of family frieds and a 46oz pepsi. All must be eaten within 15 minutes or less. If you beat the Godzilla challange, you get your picture taken for they wall of fame plus the meal is free.

Adam I think you should definately try the challange, I'm telling you the burgers are awesome!

Think you can handle the Megajuana Burrito from Tijuana Flats Food Company?? It's over 1 3/4 pounds of meat, cheese and all the toppings AND their ENDORPHIN RUSH HOT SAUCE. Or if that's not hot enough, they have an even hotter one, but you will need to sign a waiver before they can serve it to you. Morefood!

There is a place in Lutz, FL called Hot Rods BBQ Grill. It is home to the largest burger I have ever seen. With all the dressings and bun, it comes out to be a 15 lb. burger. Read all about it.

http://www.hotrodsbbqgrill.com/Vittles.htm and click on the 15 lb burger.

If you ever do come to the Tampa Bay area for the challenges, my husband and nephew will do the challenges with you. My nephew has done many so far in the area and keeps showing us pictures of food he conquered or vice versa. They will be willing to eat the challenges with you. I do not know all the challenges but know from the pics my nephew shows me - there are a lot of them. They love food, spicy things, etc - they challenge each other all the time - even at Cheesecake factory with the monte crisco on who can eat it the fastest!

We would love to see you visit SOUTH BEACH, Florida to tackle The Punisher - 5 lbs of angus beef at Cheeseburger Baby on Washington Avenue. The first person to ever conquer this beast within the 30 min timeline succeeded just last night! A team of 4 employees from the newly opened Best Buy at Alton and 5th street took on this challenge, with one of them succeeding! I posted the pictures online on Facebook. It was good fun. And who wouldnt want to visit SOBE to tackle this challenge??

check out EYEPOPPIN CHEESESTEAKS
its a little hoagie joint located in a little town called crystal river(approx 1 hr n of tampa) just off hwy 19. its a little town known for the snorkeling trips with the manatees.
This little place is just about 1 1/2 mile east of hwy19 on hwy 44. just around the corner of the holiday inn! great cheesesteaks packed with meat and the owners do it all themselves. they cut all the steak from ribeye on the premises and they ever do a chicken one too. The boss lady does 90% of the cooking/ and they dont hide a thing you can see the entire kitchen. its clean, simple but really good foood for a good price
\
