Please post your food challenge suggestions here for this state. If you have photos and video of the location, please upload them on our What's Your Trip site.
Here are some past posts about locations in this state: Hangwild BBQ, Aurora Originally posted by: jodi 99 hit fm Massive BBQ Nachos in Aurora MO These things are HUGE and the best ever!!! People drive from all over the midwest region to this little joint that has military photos all over the restaurant, seriously has been voted the "best of" many categories in the hometown of Brad Pitt. I do radio and LOVE your show! we would love to have you all come here and feature them! he’s a great older guy who would just think it’s the biggest honor ever! City Diner, Kansas City Originally posted by: garbagegirl The City Diner located in Kansas City, Missouri has a challenge of eating two huge pancakes. I'm sure Adam could eat the two pancakes, BUT can he eat (7) SEVEN????? A little girl ate 6 pancakes. She was only 7 years old. And a 70 year old man ate 6 pancakes as well. Could Adam beat both of them and eat (7) SEVEN???? This would be a great challenge for him. Did I mention these pancakes are the size of "man hole covers"? If you can eat the two pancakes, you get to write your name on the wall. My husband completed the challenge twice. But would not attempt to eat seven. This would be a great challenge for Adam!!!! The Parlour, Jackson Originally posted by: tommaki 21 scoop ice cream sundae, called dare to be great. eat in one hour and it’s free Beef O'brady's in Madison Originally posted by: tvman39110 You will definitely be challenged by this one. You must eat 20 Nuclear hot wings in 20 minutes. Sounds easy, right? The owner/general manager of Beef's in Madison, MS came up with his own special hot sauce for this challenge. Many have tried, but the most anyone has been able to eat is six wings. So come to Madison, MS and give it a try. I'll be sure to be there to cheer you on. Various Spots, Springfield Originally posted by: thebeerbaron While this city is not even close to the size of Kansas City or Saint Louis, it blows both away with its food. First, there is a challenge at Ben's Carriage House. This involves eating an 18 egg Omelet reinforced by a ridiculous amount of hash browns in 20 minutes. It is delicious and a very easy route to diabetes. Continuing along the thread of gluttony, Lambert's is one of the nations most famous restaurants and being located in Springfield is a culinary, must visit for any show, especially those centered in Springfield. On top of those, "pig out palaces", there are many other amazing restaurants in this town worth exploring. These range from the best salsa in the country at George's Steak House (yes, its a steakhouse with spectacular Mexican Food, strange, but easy to over look once one gets a taste). There are many gourmet restaurant such as the Flame Steakhouse, Bijans, Touche, Valentine's, Metropolitan Grill, Doe's Eat Place and Ocean Zen. Perhaps, Springfield's greatest claim to fame are its countless, excellent, Chinese restaurants (what do you expect from the birthplace of Cashew Chicken?). That is just the tip of the iceberg however, as Springfield is home to several excellent choices for every genre of food such as excellent wings at places like Coyote's Adobe Cafe, Big Whiskey Bar and Grill and the Springfield Brew Co. There are numerous sushi restaurants, excellent Mexican places such as Marias and Cielito Lindo and many more. Another place that should be noted, is a barbeque joint called Boxcar BBQ that rivals the greats in Kansas City. Very simply, gluttony and gourmet are neighbors in Springfield. This city, which is completely unexplored by the Travel Channel (as Missouri in general is)would be an excellent location for Man vs. Food. Pointers Pizza, St. Louis Originally posted by: iggyschmidt Adam needs to go to Pointers and get the Piontersaurus. It's a HUGE 28" pizza. You have 1 hour to eat the whole thing w/ one partner. My husband has been looking for someone to take the challenge with! $500 prize if you eat the whole thing! Eat-Rite, St. Louis Originally posted by: anthonypguilfoy Me and my friends started a challenge with no help from Eat-Rite. The Slinger is hashbrowns, covered with two hamburger buns, covered by two fried eggs, covered by chili, cheese, onions and this monster comes with two buttered slices of toast. Me and a buddy did three and were in a coma for the next few days. However, no one will ever challenge us. Adam? Pop's Pizza, St. Louis Originally posted by: christinaann POPS Pizza offers up a 32 inch pizza, its the biggest pizza from here to Saint Louis and we're willing to shell out some real nice cash to someone who can eat this thing in 90 mins without throwing up first. You can take this challenge alone or as a two person team, but you only have 90 mins to finish the whole thing and if you do, we will give you a free large pizza of your choice monthly for a year, give you a shirt showing you mastered the pizza at POPS, you'll also receive the pizza at no charge to you if you can finish it and you will come back on Super bowl Sunday to face off with others who finished this feat to win a cool $1000.00 cash. So get your team together and visit POPS to signup to take the pizza challenge. Monetti's Pizzeria Ristorante, Warrensburg Originally posted by: kc_medic It's a 28 inch pizza, if two people can eat it in an hour they will give you 100$ and put your name on their wall of fame. I'd even be willing to take the challenge with you. http://www.monettis.com/gigunda.html |

Hi,
My name is Jason Day, and I am the creator of a recipe that has recently taken the world by storm...The Bacon Explosion (www.bbqaddicts.com/blog/recipes/bacon-explosion/). We'd love to have Adam visit us at the largest barbecue competition in the world, The American Royal, to try and take down an entire Bacon Explosion. Our competition team, Burnt Finger BBQ, throws a huge party each year and would love to host the eat off. Over 500 BBQ teams compete and close to 100,000 people converge on the West Bottoms of KC for the "Party of the Year" that Friday night. This event is where you'll find the absolute best barbecue in the world. Hands down...this is where Adam needs to be. |

The tiny town of Rockport Missouri on I-29 North has a restaurant called Black Iron Grill. I saw that they had a huge steak challenge (like 72 oz) plus all the fixings. They said on only a couple people have ever been able to do it. Might be a fun challenge!

You need to take a trip to Lebanon Missouri and visit T's Redneck Steakhouse. My friend of 20 years+ opened this place up a couple of years ago and they have the best steak, ribs, pulled pork, brisket, you name it that you every had the pleasure of putting in your mouth. No big food challenges there, just a great atmosphere with some awsome food!

Oklahoma Joe's is not in Missouri, but in Kansas City on the Kansas side. It is the best barbecue in KC (in my opinion) and is located in a gas station! The line is always out the door because of the delicious pulled pork and mouth-watering fries. Please come to KC, Adam!

Kansas City -
Our 7 year old son LOVES your show. He roots for you over food every week and even gets nervous watching the challenges. He also happens to be a carnivore in a house of vegetarians. You should come here and have a bbq meal with him. You could both complain about vegetarians in the process. The american royal BBQ contest is here every fall. As for food challenge, Grinders in the Crossroads has a "wings of death" challenge. Sounds right up your alley. |

JUST OPENED! In Columbia, MO! This place is great and they have a great challenge that has Adam's name all over it!
It's called Unnecessary Roughness. For $74.99 you can get six and a half pounds of meat... grilled burgers with bacon, ham, and pulled pork layered with three cheeses, crispy onion rings, and fried eggs stacked between three layers of buns. Oh and served with two pounds of fries. Their challenge is as follows: Eat this in four quarters (sixty minutes) and we'll not only pay for the meal but name it after you on our menu and reward you with $50 in food and drink every month for one year or until you are dethroned by a challenger. |

Please have Adam look up Surf Dogs in Chesterfield, MO. This place rocks. They also have an eating challenge called the "Big Kahuna Challenge". They have 10 specialty dogs on the menu and the goal is to eat all 10, in order, in under 60 min. Many have tried and only 1 has prevailed. They feature Vienna Beef and will grill or steam the dogs to your liking. It's a little piece of paradise in the middle of the country. wwww.mysurfdogs.com Thanks.
