Please post your food challenge suggestions here for this state. If you have photos and video of the location, please upload them on our What's Your Trip site.

Here are some past posts about locations in this state:

Papa Angelo's, Bethany

Its located just South of Route 66 (NW 39th St)in downtown Bethany; across the Southern Nazarine University complex on College Ave. Great pizza! Unfortunately, closed on Sunday. Only one individual has beaten the challenge. All the other 'Losers' get their picture posted on the 'Wall of Shame'. Very cozy atmosphere. Family operated and very personable service. Highly recommended!!!

There is a great place in Norman, Oklahoma called Fat Sandwich that Adam definitely needs to go to. There is a challenge called, the Big Fat Ugly Challenge, in which the sandwich must be eaten in under 15 min. The Big Fat Ugly sandwich include the following: 2 rolls, 4 cheeseburgers, double cheesesteak, mozzarella sticks, chicken finger, chicken nuggets, Mac N Cheese bites, fried mushrooms, jalapeno poppers, pizza bites, onion rings, hash browns, american cheese, mayo, and ketcup. It's a great challenge and I would really love to see Adam take on this monster of a sandwich.

Here's another one for Oklahoma. Just read about this one in the local paper (Tulsa)...

http://www.tulsaworld.com/life...nC823035&archive=yes

The challenge: 66 ounces of chicken-fried steak.

The prize: a free meal and your picture on the wall of fame.

The twist: There's a 66-minute time limit, and to be victorious you have to also eat a full plate of sides and a salad. Oh, and if you don't complete the challenge, the cost of the dinner is a whopping $66.

"We've had a couple of challengers, but no one has completed it. I'd like to see someone do it," said Tracy Norris, owner of the Route 66 Diner. "We had one kid drive down from Wichita where he was going to college. He probably got the closest, about three-quarters of the way through. He could have finished it, but his jaw went out. It wasn't the volume of the food, it was the chewing."

Tulsan Jason Callahan was the latest challenger to step into the diner, 728 W. 23rd St.

Steak and Catfish Barn has a catfish eating contest. The most so far is 42 strips. It's located at I-35 and Waterloo Road, just north of Edmond, OK. They have the best catfish in Oklahoma! Their steaks are some of the best I have ever had too.

I would like Adam to try the philly steak sandwich eating contest at Phat Philly in downtown Tulsa. The current record is 8. Each sandwich is 7" long and absolutely delicious. The owner is Jason Smith.

Adam, you've got to try this!

Here's some info:

Fat Sandwich Company
759 Asp Ave
Norman, OK 73069
(405) 701-8627

"The Big Fat Ugly"
2 rolls, 4 cheeseburgers, double cheesesteak, chicken cheesesteak, gyro meat, grilled chicken, bacon, sausage, pork roll, mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, chicken nuggets, mac n cheese bites, fried mushrooms, jalapeno poppers, pizza bites, onion rings, hash browns, American cheese, mayo, ketchup, tons of french fries

The Challenge:
Eat the big fat ugly in under 15 minutes and it's on us. You also get an ugly T-shirt.

My girlfriend, my roommate, and I tried to conquer this beast almost 2 years ago and failed. It was the french fries that got me, I ate my 1/3 of all the good stuff though. The shop is pretty much on campus at the University of Oklahoma, so come on down to Sooner Country and try to tackle this football-sized sandwich!

Coney Island hotdogs in downtown oklahoma city has a record of 15 hot dogs in 6minutes I believe. Many have tried to beat the record but have failed. I think this is an excellent challenge for man vs food.

I just opened my own little Cafe in Blackwell OK, called The Corner (580)363-9846. I have a Big burger idea, and would be honored if Adam would take it on. Its a meal called the "Woolly Mammoth". It is 2 of our hand pattied 9/16 pound burgers loaded with three slices of american cheese four strips of bacon and 2/3 cup of Jalapenos, along side a tower of our hand cut fries covered in cheese, bacon bits and you guessed it Jalapenos. I call it this beacuse this thing will put hair on your chest.

I second rickb88. Phat Philly has a record of 7 1/2 sandwihes that has stood for 2 years. I don't think it can ever be beat. They are the best Philly Cheese steaks this side of the Mississippi; maybe the Atlantic!

I agree with you guys. Phat Philly's is one of the best. The location is smaller and easy to miss, but a place that you shouldn't miss if you visit Tulsa. The Route 66 Diner is also one that shouldn't be missed. Just seeing the 66 oz. chicken fried steak is insane. Everyone should check those two places out.
