Only three women have done it! It’s a massive egg, potato, ham, green chili, cheese, smothered in more green chili and cheese. Lots have tried, lots have failed.

Rojas Mexican Restaurant in Pueblo. Huge 5 to 6 pound burrito with sides of beans and rice. All smothered in the best green chile. Read about it and see pics here:

Beau Jo's Pizza in Idaho Springs. They have a 14 lb. pizza challenge

In Loveland, Colorado, on the corner of Eisenhower and Estrella is a little restaurant called Doc's Food & Spirits. People come for the smiling service, the casual atmosphere--and especially for the food! We have a good regular crowd.

We have a great All-you-can-eat spaghetti deal on Thursdays--our spaghetti is delicious and we make the marinara in house.

But also on the menu, under burgers is our Mile-high burger. Two patties cooked to the customer's specification, topped with sauteed onions and melted cheese, then stood on a bun layered with our guacamole and served with a side of your choice.

In Aspen, CO There is a sub shop that has a challenge where if you can eat a triple stuffed 20 or so inch sub then you get it free. I'm not sure about exactly how it works but I do know that they do have a challenge. The sub shop is called Jonny McGuires:

In Trinidad, CO, there is a restaurant called JoJo's Pizzaria. They have the JoJo's challenge. It is a pizza with all 18 toppings, a salad, a glass of LuLus lemonade, and I think a desert roll. The catch is that you only have an hour to eat it all. The pizza is excellent, the service is great and its right in the heart of downtown Trinidad. You can sit next to the window and watch the town pass around you as you enjoy the great family atmosphere!!!!

If you finish off one large plate you get in the clean plate club, but the record for most spaghetti eaten is 10 plates, and 16 pounds of spaghetti, and 2 pounds of meatballs. beat that and your meal is free...

Pug Ryan's Steak House and Brewery, Dillon

Nothing to do with volume, just a little heat. They have a wing sauce made from ground habanero seeds. It's not on the menu, you have to order by request and agree to eat at your own risk.

If you can open your eyes and speak after 2 wings, you're da man. Quaker State 6 wing is nothin, you won't be in any condition to comment after Pug's wings. No way you can finish a regular wing order. Includes a special surprise 4 hours later...

In the historic mining town of Black Hawk Colorado, there is a restuarant full of chefs that live for hot food. Crook's Palace Restaurant. The quaker state 6 wings are almost ten times cooler than their hottest. They call them no-refund inferno wings. They utilize the jolokia pepper, also known as the ghost pepper, which is according to Guinness World Records the hottest pepper on earth. As if the hottest pepper in the world wasn't enough, rating at nearly 1 million scoville units, they also use small amounts of capsicum extract, rated at 3 million scovilles, to ramp up the heat.

I work at the restaurant and the sauce for these wings, is to say the least unimaginable. They are so hot, we are thinking of changing the name of them to the "You Can't Finish Them Wings." I think this would be an amazing challenge for Adam, and the mining town turned casino town is a perfect candidate for a travel channel expierience.

Furthermore, we also make ice cream with the Ghost Pepper, called ghost rasberry. The ice cream does not reach the level of heat in the wings, but is a unique expierience, as the hot pepper mixed with cold milk and sugar almost numbs the mouth.

Tee & Cakes in Boulder has a CUPCAKE CAKE that would be the ultimate sweets challenge. Weighs in at approx 6 lbs! Maybe a little more. And this fine beauty can come in any of our tasty flavors. Heck, we can even put a picture of Adam's face on top of the cake. Or an edible MVF logo. Just sayin....

Beau jo's pizza is unbelievable!!!!! this Colorado style pizza is amazing in other words you have to eat the crust with honey that is how big and tasty it is. beau jo's is by far some of the best pizza i have ever had. it is the perfect pick me up after a hard few days of skiing in Colorado powder. the challenge is enormous i don't believe it has ever been defeated.

Adam should come to a small town in colorado, Ft.Lupton, a couple of locals guys just opened up a little place called Fat Brothers, The have burgers called the "Blue Devil" 1/2lb of beef, cheese and a hot link on top. The " Bastard" double meat, cheese, onions rings with lettuce tomato, stalked up to almost 7 inches. They also have an eating conest to see how many 1/2lb patties a person can eat, including all the fixings, fries and large drink, its great stuff

I wasn't all that impressed by Beau Jo's pizza. It was good the first time, and everybody should eat there once to try it, but quickly loses its novelty. If you really want a good pizza, go to Wyman's #5. Hands down the best pie outside of Chicago.
