Eagles Deli Challenge Burger, Boston

My name is Derek and I live in Boston, MA. I challenge you to come to Boston's own Eagles Deli and try to conquer the Challenge Burger. The Challenge burger consists of: 5lbs of beef, 20 slices of cheese, 20 slices of bacon. Of course what’s a burger without fries, our challenge burger comes with 5lbs of fries, one half sour pickle, and a Large Soda. Finish it all and you get your meal for free, and your name and picture on the Wall of Fame. Fail and your picture of defeat is added to the Wall Of Shame. If you decide to come to Boston Im sure I can find at least two other places for you to go and warm up for it, as well as stopping in at one of Samuel Adams breweries for some delicious beer since it is right down the street! Are you up for it?

I would like to recommend the Misty Moonlight Diner in Pittsfield MA. It is a 50's theme diner that has been voted best in the Berkshires. The challenge is the Godzilla -- A 12 egg omelet filled with 12 items (which include 4 types of cheese and 3 types of meat) toast and homefries. Finish it in 30 minutes for a T-shirt and your name on the wall.

The McGreevy’s Beckett Burger is approximately the size of home plate and features lettuce, tomatoes, pickles & cheddar cheese atop 19 ounces of 100% beef. This monster of a meal retails for $30 with a portion of the proceeds going to the Josh Beckett Foundation. Every McGreevy’s Beckett Burger order comes with a complimentary t-shirt; those who finish the burger receive a t-shirt announcing that they beat the burger; patrons who strike out and need a to-go container are given a t-shirt announcing that the burger beat them.
This week with the purchase of a Beckett Burger you will be given a chance to enter to win 4 tickets to see Dropkick Murphys playing with Aerosmith in June

I am recommending Elm Street Pizza in Westfield for their hot wings. Hands down the hottest hot wing out there. A brief overview of the wing-three people have been hospitalized because of the hot-ness! The cook actually has to wear and mask, heavy duty rubber gloves and protective goggles in order to make the sauce! You MUST check this out!

I second the suggestion for the Misty Moonlight Diner in Pittsfield, MA. My folks live there and my son has conquered the Godzilla omlette. It took him three tries but he eventually did it. Adam, I challenge you to do it in one try.

East Coast Grill in Inman Square in Cambridge puts on "Hell Night" a couple times a year. I live in Los Angeles now and have done the Orochon Ramen special 2 challenge several times with no problem, but taking down HEll Night's 8 bomb pasta was biggest challenge ever. You have to sign a waiver to take the challenge, and usually of the 500 some people who try every time its offered, only 25 or so of us can finish. The 8 bomb pasta Hell Night definitely should be on the show.
