There's a great place for Man v. Food to visit in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It is called Boi De Ouro Brazilian Steakhouse. They have a Giant Brazilian Burger that is 8 inches round and weighs 2 and 1/2 pounds. It is topped with lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, mayo, mustard, sauteed mushrooms and onions, bacon, ham and cheese. They are currently hosting a challenge that any customer who eats 3 burgers eats for free. A $40.00 value. To this date no one has been able to eat three, but I think it would be a good challenge to have on your show. Below is their contact information:

Theres a place in Sherwood Arkansas called Pig N Chik. It's owned by a man named Kerry Gore. The Sarge burger is a Pig'N-Chik original. It was named after the only person who has ever finished it all in 30 minutes. He got his burger for free!, that's the standing offer. The Sarge burger has 4 pounds of hamburger, a 1 pound bun and all of the fixins. While it may seem to be a gimmick, this is a really great burger. Try one yourself, or share one with a friend.

Jonesboro Arkansas is the place to go. Jonesboro offers a lot of great places to eat. My uncle owns a restaurant in Jonesboro called A's restaurant he serves BBQ, fish, and burgers. He has a challenge called Hogzilla this challenge consists of a 5 lb BBQ sandwich, 1 lb of fries, and 1 lb of baked beans. So your looking at a good 7 lbs of food. Be the first to down this beast no one has finished it. The restaurant is named after his father's old restaurant. For specifics on the location send me a message and I will get them for you.

There's a great place for a challenge that has yet to be beat in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It's called Fast Lane Entertainment and hosts a 14lb pizza.

The Challenge:
2 People, 29 minutes, 29" (14lbs) of Pizza.

**The boss said he would give you an hour for 2 people or 29 minutes for 3 people if you show up with your tv crew.

The Carnivore Challenge doesn't hold a candle to this bad boy.

Adam. I'm going to recommend McClard's Bar-B-Que located in Hot Springs, AR. To my knowledge, they do not have a food challenge so a visit here may just fit the portion of your show where you drop in on a good place to eat...like your visit to Salt Lick Bar-B-Que in Driftwood, TX. As far as the dishes are concerned, the Rib N'Fry is awesome as well as the Tamale Spread! I can't speak much for the other options as I only choose between these 2 meals. Check out their website at www.mcclards.com

In a previous post back in January, Mean Pig in Cabot Arkansas is mentioned. It is near the Little Rock AFB and while I was there last Tuesday I took the Shut Up Juice challenge there.

It will light you up and is very painfull, but I got the t-shirt. Adam enjoy since I hear you are headed there.

The two places that stick out as absolute institutions in Little Rock are Sims' BBQ and Doe's Eat Place. Both combine incredibly good food with a rich history that represents Little Rock perfectly.

Sims' is legendary and opened in 1937. They have some of the most amazing BBQ around. (BBQ being defined as one thing only: chopped or pulled pork.) Get the sandwich--served on white bread with a vinegar sauce--so soggy that many eat it with a fork.

Doe's Eat Place has been in LR since 1988 and gained national attention when it became a popular hangout for Clinton campaign staffers including James Carville and George Stephanopoulos. It was also the site of Clinton's Rolling Stone interview. Doe's combines excellent steaks served only in large, family-style cuts, with a hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. They also specialize in Delta-style tamales like those found throughout the Misissippi Delta region of Arkansas and Misissippi.

I would like to recommend Stuttgart Arkansas' World Championship Duck Gumbo Cook-Off. The contest pits teams from around the world for the title in Arkansas' version of Mardi Gras. More beer than you can drink, more gumbo than you can eat, and the best in the world, combined with live music and dignitaries proving that what happens at Gumbo, STAYS at Gumbo! The event takes place Thanksgiving weekend in the Duck Capital of the World! Come on down and try the best gumbo you've never tasted!! WWW.STUTTGARTARKANSAS.ORG
