Here is the link for New Jersey's toughest challenge by far. To date 80+ have tried only 1 has completed it.

http://thunderbaseball.wordpre...er-burger-challenge/

If you think you can even come close go to www.trentonthunder.com and get in contact with the front office or John the executive chef to set it up.

All winners will compete in a challenge on August 28th on the concourse for the right to be called the Thunder winner of 09'

The number one challenge Adam has to try in NJ is held at the Clinton Station Diner. Huge burgers! For the absolutely crazy try the 8th Wonder of the World. The burger is 105 lbs! Its a 10 person contest and it has to be done in an hour. Winner gets $5000. There's also a Mt. Olympus burger that weighs in at 50 lbs. Its a 5 person contest and needs to be completed in 3 hours and you win $1000. And if you aren't that hungry they also offer the Zeus burger, weighing in at 12.5 lbs. One person gets a 3 hours deadline, 2 get an hour and a half. You win $500 for that one. Its an amazing contest and awesome to witness. Its a MUST DO.

Harold's Famous Deli in Edison, NJ offers Triple Decker Sandwiches...they are made to feed 5-6 people! 15 different ones to choose from. Try to take one of those down.

Grease Trucks at Rutgers has Fat Sandwiches. You have to eat 5 of them. If you finish them, you get to name a new sandwich. Amazing sandwiches but I can barely finish one let alone 5. Another MUST DO.

NJ has some of the best food in the US. You def need to take a trip there and try some of these amazing contests and food!!!

I would recommend 3 Brother's Pizza in Ocean City, NJ. They have the biggest pizza I have ever seen. If you finish the pizza in 10 minutes you win 100 pies, if you finish it in 1 hour you win 10 pies. The quickest a person has finished a pie was in 11 minutes. I think Adam could definitely beat the challenge. It is on Ocean City's boardwalk. It would be awesome if he took on the challenge there.

The 3 Brother's pizza contest is a sham. Every time you go there and attempt to do it, the woman who owns the place comes up with an excuse why it isn't available that day. Of course, if Adam came and did it, he would be allowed to do it, because of the publicity.

50 lbs..? That is just crazy... There is no way that one person could finish a 50 lb burger all by them self...

What do you get if you finish one..? A T-shirt and a coffin..?

I think Adam should take on Cluck-U Chicken's 911 Wing Challenge.

The Challenge: Eat all 12 911 Wings in 10 minutes and the title would be theirs. You can't eat or drink anything within five minutes of finishing the chicken. Not only that, but you have to pass a test and sign a medical waiver before they allow you to attempt it.

What does everyone think..?
Has anyone actually tried this challenge..?
If you have: Did you complete the challenge..?
If you have not: Would you try it..?

And in the challenge of Man Vs Food...
Who do you think would win, Adam or The Wings..?

I'd recommend Nelly's in Long Branch for Fat sandwiches. I've had a few and each one hasn't disappointed.

My other suggestion would be Pete and Elda's in Neptune for a XXL pizza but seeing Adam take on the 4.5 lb steak, this would be child's play for him.

Check out the R U Hungry Grill at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Eat 5 sandwiches and you get to rename it. They are monstrous so it would be a great challenge to see.

Also, check out White Manna on River Street in Hackensack, NJ. It's a super small 1950's burger joint that is legendary in NJ with the greatest sliders on the planet. I'm not sure what the record is for most sliders eaten, but I'm sure Adam could handle it! CHECK IT OUT!

Growing up in Central Jersey has had its perks. Hot dog joints for one. I'd definately try Rutts Hutt in Clifton, get a couple of rippers (the wait staff is NOT that friendly, but well worth the bitchiness). Also, get a cheeseburger dipped, have to have something to wash the dogs down!
Also, try Johnny & Hanges in Fair Lawn. Get a couple dogs "All the Way" (mustard, chili and raw onions), and accompany that with a side of potato rounds "All the Way" too.
Lastly for hot dogs, try Jimmy Buffs on Rt. 22 in Scotch Plains. Get a double w/ everything. They pick the onions, potatos and peppers out of the same grease as the dogs, and put it on a half round roll. UNREAL!

Now, the BEST greasy spoon in NJ is in my hometown of Clark, The White Diamond! Rat burgers on kaiser rolls w/ grilled onions, pickles and cheese. I GUARANTEE satisfaction!
They also make an amazing Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese sandwich. How bad can it be, the coffee even has a film of grease on top!

Enjoy!

If you're coming back to Jersey, you have got to contact Butch Lupinetti at smackyourlipsbbq.com. He's out bbq'd Bobby Flay on the Food Network. As a friend and a customer of Butch, I can say (without a doubt)he is the best barbecuer in NJ!
