I live in a tri-state area of KY, OH, WV.
So, I live in KY and can be in OH or WV in about 15 minutes.
Hillbilly Hotdogs is pure West Virginia humor.
They've named the hotdogs after Marshall University players & coaches (same Marshall of Matthew McCanahey's "We are Marshall" movie.)
They have a double wide hamburger challenge that is 15 lbs! They have a 3 1/2 pound hot dog challenge, and it would take you 3 days to read the walls...yep, every square inch of this hillbilly "shack" is covered with some form of "hillbilly wisdom" or memorabilia! Nothing in the place matches. Tables made of old phone cable spools, every chair is different, just an amusing place loaded with hillbilly charm and humor! If you'd like to come over and sit a spell, just give me a buzz!

You definitely need to visit Hillbilly Hotdogs. I am from Ohio and my parents are both from West Virginia, I too live in the tri-state area and I am proud. Hillbilly hotdogs is just an amazing place to have fun with the family and enjoy some good down home amusing "grub" as we say. Definitely go and visit Sonnie and Sharie. The "Doublewide" hamburger is really what makes them famous and was featured on Food Network's Diner's, Drive-ins, and Dives. It is a 15lb burger (the burger itself weighs 10lbs alone) piled high with 24 slices of cheese, 24 tomatoes, 2 heads of lettuce, 2 whole onions, and 2 pounds of pickles. Then there is the "singlewide" hamburger which is 5lbs. And don't forgot the weenies. The "Homewrecker" is a 3 1/2lb completely loaded hotdog. It is 15' long, deep fried and piled high with sauteed onions and peppers, and covered with nacho cheese, their homemade spicy chili sauce, jalapenos, mustard, ketchup, slaw, tomatoes, lettuce, and shredded cheese all on a grilled bun. And don't forget to check out the bus.
