There's a local ice cream spot here in Jackson, MI. It used to be called the Jackson Allstar Dairy, where they made their own ice cream, but now is called The Parlour. Although they do not make their own ice cream anymore, The Parlour has been voted Best Ice Cream of Jackson for two years an running.

The Parlour sports a classic 'soda fountain' shop feel, so not only is it a great atmosphere, but it has great service and food as well.

Better yet, however, they sport their own competition, 21 scoops of assorted ice cream flavors, topped with cherries, strawberries, pineapple, whip cream, syrup, marshamallows and chopped nuts. Its called the "Dare to be Great!" and challenges any takers to devour it in less than one hour.
