Only 1 2-man team has conquered this beast thus far.
I would be more than willing to assist Adam in taking down this challenge.

Food Quadrathalon, New Haven

New Haven, Connecticut is home to some awesome restaurants, including 4 historic and delicious ones that are each a part of this grueling event. It all starts at Louis Lunch, their claim to fame is inventing the hamburger. At this stop you have to be the quickest to eat 2 hamburgers. From their it is on to Archie Moore's Wings where they make the best wings in Connecticut, you have to be the quickest to eat 25 wings there. The 3rd stop is the famous Sally's Pizza, arguably the best pizza in New Haven, and maybe even the world, this place rivals New York pizza, even Frank Sinatra himself would make his personal driver drive from New York all the way to New Haven and back just for a taste of his favorite pizza. Here you have to be the quickest to eat a half of a large Sally's pie. The final stop is Libby's Italian ice and pastry, they make the best Italian ice, and have a huge selection of delicious pastry. To end this event you have to consume a full quart of Libby's Italian ice, the quickest.

Custy's "World Famous" Lobster Buffet, North Stonington

I enjoyed watching you drop by Boston and meet Kevin Youkalis as well as wear the I <3 Boston t-shirt. I actually dropped by Eagle's Deli to make sure your picture was there on the wall and sure enough, your hidden face is there. As a heavy eater myself (holding no records and all losses ;p), I recommend going to Custy's Lobster Buffet. If you want to try something different from burgers, pizzas, and all-American classics, this buffet will make you sick of lobster for weeks (maybe even months). I'll try to post some pictures later.

The chowder Pot in Branford, CT

They have a seafood Alfredo dish.

It is not really a true "challenge" with any kind of notoriety but the feat is just as difficult.

It is literally a pound of pasta in RICH Alfredo STOCKED with a variety of seafood.

I used to be a big eater and only came close to finishing it once, but the last time i had it i MAYBE ate half then me AND my girlfriend split the second half for lunch the next day and felt full.

If he can do let me know cause I want to see it cause the waitress said that maybe two people have EVER finished it in one sitting.

Later

i actually work at the black bear in milford, home of the GRIZZLY CHALLENGE. I saw two guys try and do it last tuesday and both failed miserably. It really is the biggest plate of food i have ever seen. It could easily feed more than 6 people, it is that big. the burger itself is bigger than a human head. i am probably going to try it one night. Adam, you definately need to come try this. I am a bouncer there and love laughing at the people who can;t finish it. but i think u could do it. definately swing by.

For a great spot in CT without any real eating "challenge", there's always Chicken Joe's in Cos Cob. Right near the border of New York, they server some of the best Italian Deli style sandwiches on the planet. Huge amounts of meat, cheeses, whatever you want on great bread. But the best thing there is the fryer. The high school, bad boy, and godfather specials are awesome. It is 1/2lb, 3/4lb and 1lb of chicken nuggets respectively, with a large portion of really good french fries stuffed in an aluminum lined bag (keep the top open so it doesn't get too soggy before eating). They cover the nuggets and fries in seasoning salt, and if you're really brave, cheese and and a nice and hot meat chili. I recommend you try this place.

Main Port Fish & Chips
This small seafood restaurant in Stratford, CT has one big splash of a challenge. Main Port's signature is the fish sandwich. The challenge, eat 6 in 1 hour(current record holder is at 5). Sounds easy but this sandwich is huge. I full piece of fried cod with melted American cheese, fresh lettuce and homemade tartar sauce all on a a bakery fresh bun. Main Port challenges you, Man vs. Food as well as anyone who thinks they have what it takes to conquer the sea!

Congrats to Joe Jarrin from Naugatuck, CT for becoming the new record holder. 6 fish sandwiches eaten in 1 hour.

Can anyone break this astonishing record?

Not so much a challenge but more the "I cant believe they make that" factor is the Fatty Melt at Max's Burger in West Hartford. Possibly one of the most delicious burgers i have ever eaten, it is an 8oz cheeseburger between a grilled cheese with tomato and a grilled cheese with bacon. delicious. complete with sweet potato fries it was one of the best meals i have ever had

*NEW RECORD*
It didn't take long. We now have a new record holder. Congrats to Nick Prpich from Torrington, CT. Just one week after our previous record was set, Nick consumed seven(7) fish sandwiches with just three seconds left on the clock. Good Job!
