Adam ... love the show! If you're ever passing through southern Ohio, check out THE SCIOTO RIBBER in PORTSMOUTH, OHIO - home of the 32 oz steak! Everything there is smoked and BBQ and delicious, and people come from all over the state to enjoy it. You can read more about it in a recent news story: http://www.herald-dispatch.com...up-something-specialI think you'd enjoy spending some time with Darren out by the smoker! In fact, it's making me hungry just writing about it. Drop me a line if you come into town and I'll get the local media there for you too!

Man v. Food team, it's time to take a look at Cleveland for a food challenge and other amazing eats. Adam should visit Melt Bar & Grilled (www.meltbarandgrilled.com)for the 4 lb., 12 grilled cheese challenge. Melt has received rave local and national reviews for its creative grilled cheese concoctions. In addition to Melt, Adam should visit Slyman's for its famed corned beef, Sokowlowski's for homemade ethnic pierogies and the Happy Dog, which features hot dogs and fries and 50 toppings. Read more about Cleveland's comfort food dining scene in this recent USA Today article (includes pics): http://www.usatoday.com/travel...eveland-dining_N.htmI work with Cleveland Plus, which promotes tourism for Greater Cleveland, and would be happy to connect you with any of these restaurants. Oh Yes, Adam should try the Melt Bar & Grilled Challenge in Lakewood Ohio. How about 12 different melts from the menu? I could not finish one, that is how cheezy and huge these are, and what about that heaping plate of fries?

Saw it in the first post, and just wanted to 2nd it - I cannot recommend Voltzy's in Dayton, OH, highly enough. I'm a video student, just did a short documentary on what the owner has going on there. Rick is awesome, really funny personality, and - of course - his giant 6 1/2 lbs burger would present a pretty great challenge. His place started off in a trialer and now, 19 years later, he just build a little shack and is staritng a root beer stand - really interesting history to the place.
Feel free to email me and I can hand off some footage to you for your reference.

You gotta go back to Ohio State. The spot is called Hangover Easy on Niel Avenue. It's a great spot. The food is excellent. Where else can you go to get Morning Wood, Sloppy Seconds, and a Dirty Sanchez (that is the actual names of the breakfasts). The lunches are also great. Where else can you get a deep fried cheeseburger. Thier challenge is a cookie tray of biscuts, gravy and eggs. Finish it in 30 minutes and you are a hero. Fail and you picture goes on the LOSER wall.

Adam, There is a great place in Dayton, Ohio called Pie Pizzeria. Here they have the Brooklyn Brawler challenge. The slices weigh 1 lb a piece, and they are delicious. They have the Brawler challenge, where two people have 30 minutes to finish a 16" pizza. That is 8 lbs of pizza! It is located by the University of Dayton, home of No. 21 Men's basketball team. This is a great area for local food. There is Marion's pizza, which serves the best East Coast style pizza around. Also, this is the home of Submarine house which serves delicious 16" subs. In addition, there is a local sub place called milanos that serves great over stuffed subs. Not to mention they have the regional phenomenon Skyline Chili. This area is full of amazing, local food. You have to come to the University of Dayton to sample this great food, as well as the amazing culture.

Hey Adam, My name is Megan. There is an AWESOME cafe here in Toledo, Ohio called Nick's Cafe. They offer ENORMOUS portion sizes and the food is AMAZING! The cheeseburger platter comes with mountain of french fries as well as a mountain of salad. This platter is so big my mom, dad and myself share the fries and salad and there is still some that we bring home. Check it out if you come past Toledo, Ohio. It's located right off the Ohio Turnpike, exit 59.

Adam when you come to the Cleveland area you should really check out Stubby's Pub and Grub. we are about 20 miles west of Cleveland located in Elyria, OH. Our menu features very unique sandwiches and meals. You would be very interested in our Fatboy sandiches. They are over-sized and over stuffed to about the size of a professional football. They all have around two and a half pounds of toppings. Anyone that finishes their plate in under 30 minutes gets their picture in our Fatboy Hall of Fame. We also have the Stubby's challenge which gives our guests one hour to eat our sloppy chili cheese waffle fries, a bowl of our famous creole mac n' cheese, and any fatboy. Anyone who completes this gets a tab on the house. This has only been completed once!!!!
