Buffalo NY's regional specialty of Roast Beef on Kummelweck has been a local favorite at Schwabl's Restaurant for 172 years. The tiny little restaurant is the 8th oldest business in Western New York and has served predominatly German delicacies since 1837. Buffalo has been known for their chicken wings, but in fact anyone across the country can duplicate them. Not so for a Roast Beef Sandwich on Kummelweck Roll. It is truely a Buffalo specialty...a kaiser roll with coarse salt and caroway seeds sprinkled on top, holds tender slices of roasted beef that is hand carved in the dining room. The waitresses wear white dress uniforms, making it feel as if you just stepped back into the 1940's.The Roast Beef is accompanied with their homemade German potato salad and pickled beets. Everything at Schwabl's is homemade using original recipes from the early 1800's.We think that this regional favorite would be perfect for your new show- call us at 716-674-9821.
